amazing price for an amazing show

    • Agree a MUST SEE at even 3x this price.

Great show but is it worth queuing up for 18 hours to get the discount? Looks like a publicity stunt to me

    • It doesn't say you have to queue from 3pm, and I doubt anyone actually will, but I'd happily queue up for a few hours in the morning for this price.

      • You are correct. It is not mandatory. It is simply a request. I imagine that the media have also been requested to attend later that day.

Hopefully there will be a long line of Black Wolf tents to film

Read it again - they are asking anyone that wants to queue up for tickets to not be there before 3pm Sunday. This is probably the worst use of a neg I've seen yet.

If they didn't want people camping overnight, maybe they could have asked them to not be there before 6am on Monday?
Let's just see what happens on the day. The main intent is to generate publicity by filming a long queue

        • With your neg gone I care far less for this discussion - but I'm still confused as to where your logic is coming from. Nothing is mentioned about people staying overnight. $20 to see The Book of Mormon is an absolute steal and they have put a small measure in place to make their life easier in case some crazy bargain hunters decide to camp out.

@Hinee: "Arrive early to avoid disappointment. QPAC requests early birds commence queuing after 3pm Sunday"

They're encouraging people to arrive early and signalling a time from which they are requested to queue. Logically, if queueing from this time people will need to stay overnight. QED

There are more efficient and equitable ways to distribute discounted tickets. This has been designed with publicity in mind.

Spot on re publicity stunt. I am guessing they will have big signs up and around for Book of Mormon and a photographer taking photos of everyone in the queue.

And interviewing people about how much & how long they've waited for the show to reach Brissie. Oh the excitement😉

People who weren't queuing for hours will be so jealous, so rush out to buy full price tickets😀

  • If it makes you feel any better, I tried to revoke my neg earlier but couldn’t.

    Edit:revoked now

Just let people know if it's a publicity thing. Wish they didn't offer it like they're doing everyone a favour with $20 tickets.

  • Waiting for them to come to perth.

  • Great show, loved it

No mention of how many tickets will be available @$20! Not nice just missing out after long wait.

Paid under $60 in Sydney. Could select my seat - front row middle of dress circle. Much easier than queuing.

Discount tickets without queuing will be offered later, but unlikely this cheap.

Fantastic show. Would love to see again.

But… preview show may not be best performance to see - that's why those shows are usually heavily discounted.
Timing (learnt through performances) has not been perfected & that's crucial for a comedy show. (Buy a discounted ticket later & enjoy both!)

For me - saving about $40 off later discounted ticket is not worth queuing for hours for possibly a limited number of tickets to a preview performance. Can't resell or transfer ticket as ID is to be checked - so make sure you & other can go.

Images of long queues waiting for tickets is simply publicity to drive full price ticket sales. I'll watch from comfort in bed😴

Have a look at later shows like in May, some have tickets for 50.80 pp and you can select your seat on Balcony 2.

  • How about sydney?

    • 😴 You're too late - season closed 8/2.
There were plenty of great offers posted.

  • I snagged 2 x tickets, excellent seats. Looked up what they’re worth for a Friday night show and to buy they’d be $260 each! Thanks OP!

    • It's a preview show, not a normal performance - always heavily discounted or free for some.

Can't compare with prices of "worth" $260ea - Ozbargainers won't pay that much😉
$20 is a great price. Enjoy the show👍

No upvote for deal you got?

  • I bought fantastic tickets yesterday in Balcony 1, Centre, second row. Bought them at lunchtime and didn’t need to queue at all. Still some available, I believe. My daughter had queued from 11am. Said floor tickets were sold first — whole theatre. Tickets valued at over $200 each. Yahoo!

    • Tickets valued at over $200 each.
Sorry to bust your bargain bubble - preview shows are normally heavily discounted & many get free tickets (I certainly have in the past).

As already commented - $50-60 tickets available later in season (much better time to see as any issues are worked out - that's what preview shows are for - a test run).
Saw Sydney show for $60 in great balcony front row seat - laughed so much😂

$20 is great bargain for a great show - enjoy Friday👍

  • Chatted to QPAC staff. Ticket Office say tickets didn't sell out.
But it was a 1 day sale - so no longer available. She said "I don't know what they'll do with the tickets."…

Security said it was much quieter than expected.

Contacted promoters through Facebook to see if tickets will be available..
