Denon Heos 3 $349 | Heos 5 $449 | Heos 7 $779 | HEBAR $999 | HESUB $799 @ Videopro

Best prices I have seen for the listed Heos Products.

I personally have the HEBAR & the HESUB, and it blows Sonos in terms of sound quality. The set up took a while initially, but it's been rock solid since then! But it can now play music wireless and over bluetooth from the phone, tv as well as the Google Home via voice control!

Some of you may have a liking for Sonos for the easy set up and the app is definitely better, but the sound quality of Denon is awesome! I personally found the audio from Sonos to be dull.

You can pricematch at HN/Domayne to use any AMEX vouchers you have.

Aussiehifi have them on sale for the same price.

  • How are these HEBAR and HESUB compared to Bose 700 Bar and Sub?

I never checked out the Bose ones when I was looking for the wireless audio systems. Couple of mates have got Bose sound systems(wired) and the sound is crisp for sure. Personally, I found them to be lacking bass and treble, which I find the Denon ones are great at!

Love my HEOS Bar and Sub, also have 2x HEOS 1's as wireless surrounds for true 5.1 surround :)

I plan to buy 2 x Heos 3's or possibly 5's if HN can gimme a better deal than Videopro to use my Domayne vouchers :)

It has an ethernet port which is a big plus for me as my house is networked.

How do you find the speech enhancement when watching movies?

I would prefer a remote control but other than that, this soundbar looks good.

Edit: Free shipping to most areas does not include Bendigo. Costs $45

I have the sub & the bar hard-wired as well. And programmed my TV remote to work with the bar, so I haven't had to use the included remote at all. Use the app from time to time.

And I use it mainly for watching movies and shows, so the speech enhancement is a great addition.

      • speech enhancement

Speech enhancement (and every other form of sound processing other than mixing stereo sources into pseudo-surround sound which is usually called "Standard" preset on AV recievers) is something for enhancing poor quality speaker setups.

You want as little processing as possible or at least that's how I look at it.

Beware if you plan on using HEOS the app doesn't support Google Music or Apple Music.
