Good luck using Beaurepaires. Thier service is disgraceful. Everyone I have also spoken to say they will never go back.

    • Who would you recommend?

    • It's funny you say that because I've just recently decided not to go back to them too after just 3 uses of their services.

I've always had good experiences at Bridgestone centres (they are company owned not franchises so less interested in scrimping people) but obviously you won't be getting Goodyear or Dunlop tyres there.

My father recommends Bridgestone too so I'll definitely use them to get my next wheel alignment after Beaurepaires stuffed mine up possibly intentionally.

@ZachBlasphemy: My last 2 tyre changes have been Bridgestone too, and had my wife's done recently as well, and I'm happy with the work they've done, and the after sales service/checkups on the tyres every 6 months or so.

        • xyron, Beaurepaires are probably the most company owned tyre shop you can find. They're owned and run buy GDT (Goodyear Dunlop Tyres). But that's actually their biggest downfall.

    • Just wondering, what makes them bad?

Had an interesting experience with my local store. Went in for a wheel alignment (no booking) and got told no one was available to do it because it was only him at the store that day, so that any other customers would not be able to be served. I then asked what services were offered when there was only one staff in the shop. He just said he wasn't sure and went back on his phone.

Safe to say I will not be back any time soon.

At $269 per corner for 235/40 R1 Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3s you would be better off going elsewhere (paid just over $200 a corner for mine late last year)

For the first time I went to kmart auto mt ommaney for the buy 3 1 free plus 5k rotate. Unbelievably nearly 1 1/2 years later they look as good as new. Warning, Do not get them rotated after that time as everything is out of balance, which seems obvious now. Whats bad about beaurepaires is that the time tyres last after wheel balance and alignment is 4 months. You figure out how to sell new tyres to those that drive mercedes every four months. I know what I think they did 3 times to someone that knows nothing about tyres.

Shouldn't the tyre be balanced for the wheel, therefore it doesn't matter if you rotate them around the car?

  • Dont know, not an expert, just know it wobbles at 82kph without fail.

  • I had the front rotor and brakes replaced if that makes a difference.

  • Wouldn't touch a Beaus store if your paid me… And they used to!
I used to work for a company also owned by GDT that looked after Beaus on the east coast (QLD/NSW/VIC) with supply of all their external product (everything else that wasn't a Goodyear or Dunlop). And I can tell you that they are the most useless, untrained, inexperienced, tyre people in the country. Yeah you might get a couple that know what they're doing if you're lucky. But they got rid of anyone with half a brain and experience some years ago.
Business acumen, strategies, and politics aside… They're also on average the dearest tyre shop in the country. They get smashed on their external product pricing, and you'll even find their own product cheaper at other stores!
