Flights to Japan in January 2020

Hi i was wondering if you guys knew if I should wait for sales to Tokyo or buy them now to get some good early bookings for accomodation. Its january because we cannot go during better times due to uni. What do you guys think?

Also, cheapest flights are 16+ hours. For an extra $400 it becomes direct. Is it worth? Its with Philippine Airlines and makes a stop at Manila.

    school holidays.

it's going to be crap prices.

cheapest on skyscanner for Syd<—>tokyo is $740 with a stop in manila with philippine airways (mon 13 <—> sat 25)

that would be your best price.

    be satisfied with that.

source - i lived in Japan for 4 years and have flown back and forth over 10 times. I go back once a once a year but always book via jetstar on their mega deals that aren't during school holidays and are off peak for ~$385 return.

Look at flying to ool then flying Jetstar to Tokyo

I personally would pay more to get direct flights and fly Japan Air or ANA but I appreciate that as a uni student $400 is not a small amount of money.

It's worth to go direct unless your intention to visit another country.
