Torros Pro100 Training Rack $199 @ rebel (Free Membership Required)

140

For those who missed out the squat rack from the recent Aldi deal or decided not to buy it due to the modified design, you can purchase the same one from Aldi's last year model for $199 at Rebel Sports.

I was about to buy it yesterday when it was on sale for $249, but fortunately I didn't! You'll need to join up but membership is free.

  • What did aldi change in the design?

    • Split the long part of the frame into two and have them bolt together.

  • I got the recent ALDI squat rack, the design of having the long frame legs as two seperate pieces really makes using it as a bench press awkward, though still possible. This one piece design will give more options and allow you to use the safety bars while bench pressing.

  • this one might be worth a look as well (i think it's wider than the aldi one & says it's designed for 220cm barbells)

$180.45 (using PURCHASE5 discount) with free delivery to most places near a city.

    • $250 delivery to me:)
Apart from that, the pull up grips are restricting in their narrowness. Straight bar across frame as per the Rebel one is a much more useful set up (for pull ups)

  • Did you buy one? I picked one up and luckily had 2 staff members help me load it into my hatchback. We had to take everything out from the box to make it fit.

Not sure why but according to the manual this has a maximum weight capacity of 200kg compared to Aldi's 300kg

    • Welding would be the weak points, while ALDI uses bolts…I wouldn't trust the ALDI one with 300kg though. If anyone is using close to 300kg, they should use a full cage I reckon.

  • Can anyone assist with the external measurements of this unit?
    Cannot locate them online.
