Releasing late 2019 on Nintendo Switch.
Random encounters in grass seem to be back, I know some wanted Pokemon visible like the Let's Go games.
Speculation that the region would be based on England/UK was right.
Which starter will you choose?

If you could choose between world peace and living in the world of Pokémon, who would your starter be?
Overall I like the graphics and the style - I just wish they kept Pokemon in the over-world like in Let's Go and Pokemon following you. For me, those two small changes made the world feel more 'alive'.
Yeah it was pretty awesome to walk around and see pokemon before deciding to interact with them. Also flying around on charizard the best at the end of the game.
I wanted a 3d platforming adventure with real time battling :( If they didn't do it for the move onto a home console maybe they'll never do it. This is just another 90s Gameboy game with prettier textures. Will give it a miss.
It just feels like the Pokemon are getting more and more forgettable. Sort of running out of ideas. Round head, tuft of hair/ears, apply 4 different colours
You could say that about literally any living animal in the real world too.
Evolution ran out of ideas
I mean, how many types of fish do we REALLLLY need?

Marshall? Marshall Ericson?
Donkeytron
have they released a pokemon which incorporates every pokemon from the previous regions
So there will be areas where Pokemon roam free and you have camera control.
Not sure if I'm a fan of the dynamax stuff.
I'm very happy they brought back Pokemon roaming free - I was super bummed they didn't show this in the reveal trailer. Pokemon roaming free was what made Pokemon Lets Go feel great to me.
As for dynamax - hmm. I also don't know how to feel - on paper it looks silly.
Ultimately I'll be buying both like always anyway
Having Pokemon roam free is the best change they made in some time and I think they realise that. I just hope it's like that throughout the whole game and not just in the "wild areas"
They're slowly moving towards the open world direction with the camera control I think
They're going further with some Pokémon gigantamaxing instead of dynamaxing, so having a unique look instead of just getting bigger.
Also if you missed the news from e3, Sword/Shield won't actually allow you to transfer any Pokémon into it, so Pokémon Home is starting to look like Pokémon Prison at the moment, won't be able transfer out for some Pokémon unless they make it compatible with Pokémon Sleep or something.
Also there's going to be version exclusive gyms, the last gym in black/white did have a different leader at the end, but same Pokémon, this time it will be a different type all together.
Isle of Armor out 17 June.
Surprisingly the Pokemon Go style encounters was so fun, I was so sad when I first heard they did it for the remake of yellow, but after playing it, I wish they kept it for the new one, ah well. I'm thinking Scorbunny but honestly, I can't choose one until the evolutions come out, give me something kool!
