Unless, of course, you don't like one of the games. In which case your monthly subscription is not hugely cheaper than what the other game would cost when on sale, except you would own it rather than rent it.
Of course if you're buying PS Plus for multiplayer that's up to you to perceive this as a free game. As an older person from the day that PCs were the main system I always feel ripped off being charged for multiplayer, so I can't see it this way.
Personally I don't like COD and although I want to like the Witness, I fear it'll be too much like Myst which I hated.
I normally just don’t sign up to bulk deals. If there’s a month with games I don’t want I just don’t sign up. I play mostly single player games which doesn’t require an internet connection anyway. And one of the better things about PlayStation is that the free to play games such as Fortnite or Apex Legends or Warframe don’t require a Plus membership to play.

@aja12: Gaming is a relatively cheap hobby, sure not as cheap as walking around in circles, but still not as expensive a collecting 4K Blu-Rays, restoring old cars, or fishing off your luxury yacht.
Nah… for some reason COD MW remaster kept it's price quite high. It's still $59 or something silly at Target. I only just bought it on eBay for $30 or so.

Both very good games. Pity for me that I've already got them, but I guess I've got enough of a gaming backlog already so it's probably for the best :P

My subscription expired a day before the current lineup went live. I have not resubbed. Will wait and see the quality of the 2 games you get going forward. If there's not a drastic improvement, I'll stay unsubbed until I want to play something from the back catalog, then I'll do one month until I've finished it.
If I only want to claim all the games, what I might do is go one month on, one month off. If you start your sub in the middle of the month so you get the existing games, and then you also get the next month's games. Then I unsub for a month, and come back. That way one month subs gets you two months of games and you only have to pay for 6 months to get 12 months of "free" games. But it means you can only actually play the games every second month. If I schedule my games accordingly, I can make it work.
This should be good. If any month's offerings are bad, I can just stay unsubbed for an extra month. But I haven't looked at monthly charges yet because I've always gone a year at a time. It might end up costing the same as staying subbed all year.

Especially if, like me, you tend to buy most of your games in PS Store sales. The additional discounts for PS+ members would easily make up for the difference in cost over a year.

And if the games suck, you can skip another month. If I did this the last 5 years I would have been ahead. I'd have fewer games but they'd be games I had no interest in anyway.
The downside as mentioned is you can only play them every second month, but if I juggle my purchased games accordingly, it's not difficult to work around it.
In previous years, I would pay for a whole 12 months at a time but only 3 months out of 12 did I actually care about the games being offered because they were so phoned in.
I'm not going to sub this month because I own both games on PC already, but I'll keep a keen eye on the month after.

OG is waaay better than the remastered. I played the remastered a handful of times - it sits, dormant, in its case, now.

(I'm writing this from memory, fyi) It had all the gimmicks they'd added into the latest CODs (ridiculous red dot sight decals etc), I just couldn't stand it. I wanted a testament to the Old School COD. Gameplay felt different. I'd have to pull it out and play it again to get you a comprehensive list, but there's not much point to that, lmao.
Some people are still hating on Modern Warfare Remastered because of the original bundling with Infinite Warfare, but if you're into classic COD (no clown suits, and other stupid shite), it's totally worth the download. Works well, and the Aussie community is pretty solid. Also has some of the best bots for offline play in a video game.
Good choices so far. Remains to be seen if the quality of the two games offered will continue to be good enough to offset the loss of the other 4. I don't play the PS3 that much, but I always enjoy the occasional gem. I'm a Vita lover so the loss of Vita games hurts me more. They never gave P4G in the end.

PS+ was a service that began on the PS3 where they were losing to 360 after a generation of complete dominance. They were arrogant going into PS3 and found themselves behind early. This was one of those good value services MS didn't have. You got free online, if you paid, you got free games. MS charged for online and it cost more than PS+, and no games were given out.
Then their fortunes were reversed a gen later. MS was the one going into 8th gen arrogant, but found themselves chasing Sony. Now MS are the pro-consumer ones offering better value services, and Sony doesn't care that their products are not as good because they don't need to be. They've already stitched up 8th gen. PS Now is an expensive joke compared to the backwards compatibility you get on XB1 which you don't even have to pay for.
Witness is an amazing game. Probably in my personal top 10 all-time.

What actually makes it 'amazing' and 'brilliant'? All I saw in my (albeit short) time with it was a bunch of very samey puzzles.
Late reply. The game has a surreal, enigmatic vibe to it.
There is about 5-6 sets of puzzles you will encounter throughout your journey. Some path based, and others environment based.
This game doesn't hold your hand and you can easily find yourself in the deep end.
TIP.. if a single puzzle is near impossible to understand, that means that you have not found the original puzzles of that variant that gets you started.
Nothing. It's rubbish if you ask me. An iOS puzzle game wrapped in an 'artistic' blanket. Don't fall for the hype.

No they are only available with an active sub, but if you skip a month and resub the games will be there as long as you claimed them.
You get to keep them as long as your sub is active, if it expires you cannot access the games until you renew your sub

Eh. Witness is the kind of game you'd have to really be into to enjoy, not my thing. And MW is over a decade old (don't care that it's a remaster, I own it, I've platinum'd it, I know just how good of a remaster it is, but it's still a 12 year old game at it's core).
Not the best debut of the 2 game a month future. Happy with my sub ending in a week or so.

Pretty solid month. Even if just for looks it’d be nice if they can bundle another cheap game in. Right now 2 games look a bit thin compared to previous when PS3 generation games were offered. Maybe they’ll be able to do that with PS5 next gen if they ever get Backward compatibility working.
Yeah - especially if they went for a smaller scale indie game. Not only would it not cost them much, but it could also allow for some level of ongoing Vita support if the game in question had cross-buy.

why did they have to touch the sniper scopes in mw remastered.they shouldve just only upgraded the graphics and kept their filthy hands off everything else
Pass on Call of Duty. The Witness looks alright, I was thinking it looked a bit like a VR game.

Only two now. PS3 and Vita games, some of which were cross-play with PS4, have been removed.

Still sad there's no more freebies for the Vita though. Final nail in the coffin. But I guess it'll be good to see the focus just on the ps4. Hopefully we'll get some good games this year.
