i bought a fridge during a promotional event that offered cashback from the manufacturer (link below).
i have met the terms and Samsung have confirmed i qualified for cashback, i provided all relevant details and bank account info.
i have received an initial email stating i would receive money in my nominated account within 5 business days. since then it has been around 20 business days, i have followed up with Samsung confirming my account details and received an email that they will follow this up. however, since that email there has been nil contact from Samsung.
today i called their contact number and was advised that Samsung records indicated it had gone into the nominated account and to wait until Friday(which i will) when i will be provided an update.
the pessimist in me i foresee this dragging on, is there independent body i can contact to assist me?
i looked at the financial services ombudsman, but to me it doesn't seem like they would be appropriate? thanks

I too, applied for the Samsung SSD cashback back last year (September if I am not mistaken), and only got the money literally this week.
This is after 2 x "congratulation your claim has been processed" and 2 x "your claim has been approved" and then 3 x "your claim has been deposited in your account" and 2 phone calls.
They replied saying they had technical issues with processing claim so maybe that's what happened.
