Thinking of getting the Telstra S10+ with 5G upgrade. I use my Note 8 for watching movies, foxtel, Netflix, Youtube, playing games, and i use my Gear VR a lot. I do like taking photos but i have my Nikon DSLR so the cameras aren't that important but i do love the Note 8s camera. I don't use the S Pen so that won't mean anything not having it. The only thing i am worried about is if the 5G will fit in the Gear VR? I have the 2017 version so i assume i will have to buy the 2018 version but even then i don't know if the 5G will even fit that version… My Note 8 hardly fits the 2017 version so
Will I Notice Much Difference Coming from Note 8 to S10+ and then S10 5G?

"I use my Note 8 for watching movies, foxtel, Netflix, Youtube, playing games"
me too. and guess what phone i have?mi max 3. AUD 350. enough said.
Will you notice much difference? Yes.
Whether the difference is big enough to warrant the price difference is another question, and no one can answer this for you.
Note 8 is roughly equivalent to the Galaxy S8. IMO it was only a marginal step up from S8 to S9, but it's more sizable for S9 to S10. SoC and battery life are noticeably improved, the cameras are a big upgrade and storage will also get a big bump.
You will almost certainly have to buy a new Gear VR for the S10, I would wait until S10 5G is released before commiting to that purchase though.
will actually be $20 cheaper than what i have been paying for the last 2 years…. $70 for 200GB 4G and $80 for my note 8. this comes with 160gb and S10 5G for $129, since i would cancel my 200GB 4G… or if i go optus s10+ for $99 with 200gb it would be $50 cheaper a month
and i use my Gear VR a lot

Buy a TV
and, put the tv on your lap while watching movies on the peak hour trains?
Life is so tough isn't it
