I'm looking for a inverter microwave for a while. Does any one have one of these? How is it compare to LG Neochef or Sharp?

I don't have this model, but my current and previous ones were Panasonic (32L, 1100W, inverter).
The inverter makes sense, as opposed to the "turn magnetron element on/off for x% of the time". It helps heat up food more evently. But what I have noticed in our microwave, as well as all panasonic ones I have used in various workplaces (I'm on site a lot) is that the open-button gets harder and harder to push, to the point where (unless you lubricate stuff) you end up pushing the microwave backwards.

Thanks for that info. Insights that count (thumbs up).

        • Had a similar dilemma, Samsung, Panasonic and Sharp.

          • Samsung - no go, personal preference over Sharp/Panasonic as previous ones were reliable.

          • Sharp - various reviews indicate a specific model users experienced spark. No go. Sharp of the old days are long gone.

          • Panasonic - virtually the same hardware/feature the one folks have used for many years and still going strong.

          • @[Deactivated]: No problems with door open button on my 5 year old entry-level Panasonic.

            Highly recommended!

    • We always bought Panasonic and our last one was still going after 15 years, but it was a replacement to one which lasted less than 3 years. We decided to change the last one as the door was getting too stiff to open and appears to be coming off and did not want to take the risk using it anymore. We bought this model a couple of weeks ago a bit early as could have save about $70 in this deal. So far we are happy with it. However, when we got it, it wasn't sitting flush to the ground as one corner was lower. Had to put a rubber sticker on on corner so it sits flat at all four corners. Similar to previous models. This one you can only select 6 power levels, while our old one we could select 10 power levels.

  • I had a different brand microwave with the same door opening mechanism. Like some have said, it eventually got harder to push open. I replaced it with neochef as it is opened without that mechanism. I like neochef as it is fairly similar to our old microwave with all buttons hidden. Knob design would be my preference but not available in many models.

  • This looks pretty decent. Nabbed one.

  • Great time for an upgrade.

I've been struggling with possibly the worst microwave know to man for over 3 years now. If you want to waste a few amusing minutes reading about it, check out - https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/panasonic-nn-sf550…

1.7 stars average of 137 reviews - Yikes - now that is bad!
