There is also a v2 overseas, I messaged them a few months ago about why it wasn't in Australia, got the runaround. But I clicked the old "dead" link and now it is available maybe? https://www.decathlon.com.au/p/8494833_town-9-ef-v2-adult-sc…

Problem is, it is $485 which is almost electric scooter pricing, so that is BS because in the UK it sells for about AUD$285 with exchange rate conversion.

The benefit of the v2 is essentially a massive rear "comfort" suspension which adds a kg to the weight, it's 7.4kg vs 6.4kg on the v1. You can see the suspension during this review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5AaboBYJDc

It's also go 1 second easy fold, brake on the handlebar, adjustable handlebar, anti-theft system (padlock hole), mudguards, carry strap.

I couldn't get the v1 knowing the v2 exists, but that's just me.
