The LG G8 has been announced, and we know that LG phone prices drop like flies in a Mortein factory. Given that we will see the G7 ThinQ drop to a price range of $500-600 soon, do you think it will be a good buy compared to other mid-range phones like OP6, Xiaomis (and even 2017's expensive flagships like Pixel 2, P20 pro)?

LG just seems to make random phones with good features but also filled with bugs and certain dodgy things inside
Just from experience, I'm a sucker for the galaxy series. If you can snag a cheap S9 for ~700, i'd strongly recommend that.
Otherwise OP is really good for midrange.
I've an LG G6, following an LG G2. Very happy, would definitely buy again.
Yes im waiting for a G7 in the $500-$600 range too - with local warranty. Am keen to try something other than Samsung for a change, even if it's a step down in some areas. Not totally sold on the G7 photo quality, though it's hard to tell with some of the reviews.
Did the G6 ever price down? It's still 5-600 from 2yrs ago.
Instead of price down, it seems each new ver just prices up.Way back flagship phones were 2-300. Then 600, 800, 1000, 1200. Now there's 1800.
Interesting point
'…do you think it will be a good buy…'
Define what you consider is a 'good buy', as I'm thinking it is just a personal choice / preference.
