Was keen to buy a few of these, write speeds vary from 12 to 35MB/s according to several Amazon reviews, however I've heard a lot of buyers experience these going into "read only mode", a fail protection feature. Seems common. Others reported these dying in a few months if you use them heavily. Mine would only be periodic use so I'm tempted to give it a go anyway for $9. Any other feedback from owners here?

  hi.
  i have a bunch of these, 16GB and a couple 32GB.
  while they are not as fast as extreme they are quite fast, a lot faster than traveller type.
  in my books this is the minimum speed, it's quite good and i'm going to grab some.
