Myer mid season sale discounts

Just wondering if anyone can share their thoughts on this….

Today I bought a breville mixer BM410 at Myer. The usual price is $329 but during their mid season sale (which ends 1May) it's on sale for $269.

Now they've also got a current promotion (think it's one of their offers that runs for 5 days so it's till 1May too) whereby you get $15 off for very $75 spent on small kitchen appliances, electrical personal care, vacuum cleaners, irons and microwaves in one transaction. The offer excludes kitchen aid, nespresso boutiques, lumasmooth, skin physics, clarisonic, no!no! And Tanda.

My question is… Should I have also got this further discount on the sale price of $269? It doesn't say it's only on full priced items.

Would appreciate your thoughts on this or if someone has managed to get this discount on a sale item. Thanks.

  • Thank you. Great found

  • I couldn't find anything about the $15 off for every $75 spent. Did you see it in store?

  • +1

The $15 off $75 is on the Myer website as below:

I certainly think that you should have got the discount.

    • Thanks for that. It does say though at the top that it is "not to be used with any other offers". Wonder if that includes items on sale in their catalogue?

      • yes, I think they may say that if I go back and ask them.

  • The discount could be for myer one card holders? I know they do that often

  • it was advertised in store and also via email to myer one members. The signs in store doesn't specify its for myer one members although I am a member. am tempted to go back and ask about it.

    • If I had to make a guess, I'd think that the policy of "not in conjunction with any other offer" will mean it only applies to normal priced items. I also think that these discounts are already usually in the system, hence would be reflected automatically when scanned.

But it's worth a shot, perhaps give them a call to clarify?

  • I've tried this and had management at Myer tell me that the discounted price during sale periods is an offer and hence the additional promo of '$15 off for every $75 spent' doesn't apply.

As mentioned, you could always double-check as sometimes it depends on who you speak with in terms of whether the offer applies or not lol!

  • myer has updated there systems and checkouts
they all have been programed with all the sales (unlike before where it was dependant on the cashier doing the discounts sometimes)

if they scanned it and it didn't have the extra discount
chances are it doesn't count on sale items

  • Thanks all for your comments! Might just give it a try tomorrow. doesn't hurt to ask :-)
