You can preorder the S10 128gb at Woolworths. Free Samsung Galaxy Buds worth $250. The cheapest plan is $65.78 which gives you unlimited calls/sms and 3gb. However when signing up you get 15 gb bonus data. You then get another 20gb every 3 months (they call it school holidays bonus), but you need to add it manually. The data rolls over and is kept in a bank up to 100gb. Hence you would have approximately 10gb a month with the bonuses. If you finish all the data internet stops, but you can decide to add on 1gb @$10.

Also you can add unlimited International calls to 10 countries + 300min to 21 countries for $5. It used to be $15 few weeks ago now reduced to 5.

      Rod (Woolworths Rep) address this over at Whirlpool. He said it’s definitely 20GB, it just hasn’t been updated in their system yet, but should be very soon.

    I could not see where this was to be entered. I made contact with WW chat before I completed the signup. Was told to enter the referral code in the promo code section (which I had already tried).

    They said they are going to process this manually (but that I need to phone them on 1300793417 to do this after completing application), but I am wondering if anyone else had this issue?

    Been on hold 20 minutes so far, so may not be worth the wait for a $20 gift card??

    • Samsung Smart Switch - https://www.samsung.com/au/apps/smartswitch - it is the program you can run to get your photos, messages, contacts, etc. from iPhone to your new Samsung. If you have a lot to transfer, i recommend the PC connected option (I did it a couple of years back from iPhone 6 to Galaxy S8 and it took a good hour or two at least to port over photos and messages).

    Phone delivered this morning. They need the person who it's addressed to to sign for it with photo id. The buds sound absolutely great for what they are and that's coming from an audiophile, dynamic sound mode seems the best. Plenty of bass and good balance. The phone also comes preinstalled with a screen protector. Beautifully bright and vivid screen! I think the Woolworths app is bugged as it says 10gb school holiday bonus as opposed to 20gb.

      Rod S (WM rep) over at Whirlpool said that an update will roll out mid March to reflect the 20GB holiday data, everyone’s account currently shows 10GB.

  • can i cancel the sim plan after the first month in a 36-months contract, but keep the phone to use? in this way, i can break down the phone price into 36 months while using a cheap sim plan such as boost.

    • No, if you leave/cancel the plan, you’ll be up for the cost of the handset in one lump sum.

      No, nothing showing up in my account either, though Woolworths Mobile is showing in my click history. If you don't see anything appear in 7 days, you will need to lodge a claim with them manually.

      For those that have not received a notification as yet:

      "All S10 orders have begun to be dispatched from today, however, they are done in order of when you applied. Please allow up to 24 hours, you will receive an email once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse".

      Well, we know the despatch start date is not correct, as some have already received their orders.

      Hopefully the part about handset orders being despatched within 24 hours is correct.

      The buds will be shipped separately, and not hold up the handset orders.

                • @zbmat: I had a look at the Spigen one but thought it was rather expensive so just got the Spigen casing instead (liquid air).

                  • @profeeder55: I got the hydrogel screen protector from these guys but the one I got sent does not fit as well. It basically does not cover the full edges on both sides and doesn't stick well to the edges as well

                    • @FiDad: actually ignore the above comment regarding sticking that was caused due to user error. it sticks fine but does leaves a bit of edge exposed on 1 side

                        @FiDad: Which model did you get it for? I got the S10e one and the size fits quite well (no curve edges so that is better for a screen protector), the camera cutout was a little off but overall it has worked fine for me. Also this advertises as fingerprint free which definitely did not work for me.

                        • @profeeder55: I got it for my s10 curve edges are always a bit hard o cater for but these guys advertised that this covers edge to edge which it does not. Also these are not the easiest to install due to their front tab just peeling off and then I had to manually separate front plastic bit from the cover which caused some extra bubble

                            @FiDad: Most of the bubbles will come out over 24 hours. I wasted one film not knowing that, and yea I agree on the installation difficulty.

  • Apparently when recontracting you still have to pay off the handset fee. The offset to early termination being waived does not include the handset repayment.

    The 15GB signup bonus data is for new customers only. Recontracting customers don't get it. Didn't know that.

    Their quote is

    Plus 15GB once off bonus on activation~

    I made the assumption that when recontracting, I'd be "activating" this new contract but it's considered a continuation of your existing one, and you are not activating anything.
