Lol? I bought it for 52.99 as an preorder. Funny af, and people say 'dont preorder'

    • +2

In most cases pre-ordering is not worth it. Most games lose value not too long after release.
Nintendo games are generally the opposite, in that they retain their value for a long time, so I think pre-ordering them (if the price is good) is worthwhile.
Occasionally a game like R2D2 or GTA comes along and is able to retain its value, but they are more like the exception

The price isn't the reason people say "don't pre-order". Pre-ordering allows publishers to know how much they can make on release creating a sort of disincentive to release a quality product. This behaviour has led to the release now fix later mentality. Of course you can return it but most won't so its guaranteed money for the publisher.

    • 7 people must be angry they didn't preorder, maybe next time fellas.

I'm a cheap ass and will wait for it to be sub $30.

    • GTA5 hasn't been at those prices for long. Enjoy the wait but you'd do as well to buy it now and sell it when you're done for $50.
I couldn't tell you how long I've been playing this for now, it must be 100hrs and I'm still loving it.

    • Pity postage is expensive in Australia.

Second hand is already $30 + postage on feeBay. Wouldn't surprise me if gumtree had even cheaper deals.

Bought mine pre-ordered from EB with the trade-in 2 games offer - paid $29.

Good price, but I reckon I'll hunt for a good deal on a digital download - I'm thinking that way I won't have to worry about a scratched disk or some other issue maybe preventing the game from running. Any thoughts?

    • +2

I have never had a problem with a scratched Bluray (inc Ps3 / Ps4) even buying lots of used games. The coatings are much better than DVDs.

Just buy it mate, doubt it's gonna be cheaper digital for a very long time.

Not worth it at any price. Controls like dogshit and feels like playing a game from the PS2 era.

It might look nice, but this is the most overhyped piece of shit I have ever bought.

Probably gonna get a bunch of downvotes, but (profanity) it, this needs to be said.

I agree that the controls are a bit clunky, at least last I played and especially on the horse. But it is pretty fun until you finish it.

Online hasnt been appealing at all to me though, unlike the first one online. I am disconnected every 15-20 minutes, still.
