Felix Mixed Meat Cat Food 12 Pack $6.50 @ Woolworths

520

Normally $10.69, sometimes on special for around $8.50, but I don't recall the last time it was at $6.50.
Hope it helps the cat owners :)

Cheapest I've ever seen it was $7.30, it's the only thing my cats like so this is great.

i never understand why every brand does 12 packs why not 14 so it stretches 2 weeks? is there any logic to why EVERY brand does this?

    • Once one brand does it, too hard for any others to not - consumers aren't smart enough to compare 14 units to 12.

    • So that you buy 3 instead of 2?

    • I think because 12 make a dozen?

    • If you think that's annoying, the fussy cat kangaroo/mixed meat is a 5pk, i fed my kitten 3 of the felix pouches a day but I'd only have to feed him 1 and very rarely, 2 packets but regardless wont last a week.
They're also on special at Woolworths at the moment, $4.50/5pk ($0.80 off) and I haven't met a cat which doesn't purr when fed raw kangaroo meat.

  • Thanks for the heads up.. Going to get some now

  • this is a great price, stocking up for sure, but need to check expiry dates.. the fat cat eats 2 packets a day..

    • Jesus how fat is the cat?

My cat eats half a sachet per meal and doesn't even always finish it!

      • +1

        What?!
My cat eats 2 - 2.5 packets per day and isn't fat at all….

        • -1

not fat, just as big as a cow LOL

      • +1

Two a day here, brekky and dinner

    • Our vet tells us to stop the wet food because both of my cats are overweight.
She says wet food is more calorie intensive and also might be harmful to the teeth

      • Wet food is no harmful for the teeth. It is just that wet food doesn't provide teeth cleaning like, bones or chunk of meats do.

      • Cats get most of their moisture from their wet food though. If your cat isn't huge on drinking water, cutting out wet food can be terrible for their kidneys.

        • And that is why I give mine chunks of raw. Problem solved.

        • I have a drinking fountain and my cats drink a lot of water from the running water. Best money I've spent on my cats

Decent for Woolies, keep an eye on Amazon as well. Bought a few 60 pack boxes recently at $30.23 (50c per pack vs 55c per pack.)

    • +2

I got some from Amazon on that special too. They still have a number of the 60 packs available for $32.50 which work out to be the same price as Woolies.

  • My 2 kittens love this food. Thank you

  • Wonder if the Kitten ones are on sale as well

    • They are on sale too.

  • Also 7% with shopback when ordering online

  • Yay cat will be happy.

  • my cat likes this brand. For me, i love the way the food slides right out of the packaging. No need for spooning out chunks like you do with Whiskas.

I took a gamble and bought a heap (about 240 packets) using multiple offers and discounts from petbarn.
Cat ate it for one week, then refused to touch it ever again.
      damn cat.

  • That's dinner sorted HUR HUR HUR fart noise

  • im getting a kitten in about a week. the first time i have ever owned a cat.
is this one of the best or popular foods?
is there much difference in wet cat foods?

(im not associated with the store. i just permanently am for some reason)

My mum is a crazy cat lady and has 5 cats. This is the only food they like, they literally won’t eat any of the other brands… she buys like 30 boxes whenever they go on sale.

      • as re you my sibling???

    • +1

Its also my cats favourites. They are also partial to whiskers.

Be sure to get the kitten version for your new addition

    • +4

You don't have any choice in the matter. Your cat will decide what you will have to buy.

      • Also, just because your cat loves the food this week does not mean it will like it next week! Weird side fact - I've had cats pretty much all my life and none of them have ever liked Whiskas! (Despite the ad saying that 8 out of 10 cats prefer it! I always have the other two cats!) Felix however, my cat loves…at the moment. Thanks for posting the deal.

    • I have two cats and they both love it. One likes the chicken/meat mix and the other one likes the ocean fishes
The only brand I'd recommend from the supermarket would be the Fussy Cats No Grain from WWS. RRP $20 for 2.5kg bag.
      But it's not for kittens
I don't really know which brand is more popular for kittens
My cats were adults when I adopted them

    • +2

Give him raw, it is much better and you know what your kitten is really eating.

  • What's the mixed meat in this?

    • I'd assume it's felis catus, like the title says.

Probably a mix of both feral and domestic varieties for flavour.

    • its actually cereal

  • WOW my cats favourite. this is the cheapest i have seen. thanks for this :)
