My bad but still I would rather go with Telstra or Optus for better customer service. It's 24 months remember that.

LOL! Optus for better customer service? I’ve been with them for years because of their prices and decent coverage, but their customer service is a joke.

          • @firsttimeuser7: What customer service?

    • according to Woolies site the minimum cost is the 24x phone repayments plus one month of the plan. Does this mean there is no early termination fee?

    • Don't forget there is also an additional $50 cashback from CR for this -

  • S10e is perfect.. curved glass screen is such a scam for so many reasons. that fad needs to die.

    • please, list a number of reasons why its a 'scam'

        ow, please…have a seat….

        1. when u drop a phone with a curved screen the odds of the screen cracking goes up AT LEAST 100000%. to fix a screen on a phone that is cracked is hundreds of dollars more if its curved. samsung LOVE when people crack their screens and need repairs. like selling 2 phones in one.

        2. finding a good glass screen protector for a curved screen is difficult. because most of them dont make full contact with the screen making it less sensitive to touch (u have to put them on perfectly, to the 100th of a mill). which also makes it come off more easily. so most people put a plastic screen protector on their curved screen (refer to #1) and samsung/other screen manufacturers LOVE that.

        3. most people put a case on their phone. when u put a case of your phone, it completely takes away the amazement of a curved screen. and to protect such a screen alot of people put "rugged" or "tough" bulky cases on their phone which almost makes the phone screen look flat again.

        4. it is dificult to find a case and glass screen protector that match on a curved screen phone because its so tightly matching the case pushes the screen protector off after a while..

        5. if u dont use a case u are constsntly pressing things accidentally with your fingers.

        6. curved screens dont make anything look better at all. movies, games whatever.. front on looking down, it looks like a flat screen. and the only time u really notice it is when u take it out of the box. im convinced its just put there to shatter the screen more easily making you get a repair, or want another phone.

i think here is more, i might get back to it..

Could not agree more, got my S9+ as the first curved screen device I own. I hate it full stop. Always accidently touching something or an image is stretched over the edges and you can't even see it, screen protector is terrible and never fits properly (bought a whitestone even), then the case doesn't fit.

        • Correct me if I'm wrong cause the s10 will be my first curved screen but regarding the cost, I don't believe it's more expensive to replace at all. I broke my iPhone screen once(screen wouldn't work) and they wanted like $600 to replace it, whereas, going off the the Samsung website I believe it's only about $300ish.

You get reflections in any sort of light.
        Can't put any tampered glass.
        Prone to accidental touches.
Curvy area is fragile. Breaks when dropped.

    • I'd rather have superior specs than worry about the shape of the screen. I've dropped my S8 a number of times but my Spigen case (which is not bulky and accents the curves) has protected it everytime. But hey, if you the shape of the screen outweighs the spec of the phone then go for whatever makes you happy!

  • Further 10% discount from Harvey Norman port-in/new service

How do you do this? Can't find anything about porting on the HVN website.

I heard the Galaxy buds are crap. Any comment from someone who's used them?

Was hoping the freebie would be either a 512GB card, or better, a free upgrade to the next tier of built in storage.

    • Galaxy Buds are a brand new product. It is an improved version of the older IconX earbuds.

      • Ah right. The iconX were crap. This one just had identical looks to it so I confused the two.

    • +2

Calling them crap when literally nobody has tried them yet.

      Nice.

      • I confused them with iconX which look identical. And those were reviewed to be crap.

  • the new tech in the S10 embarrasses Apple's offering.

12gb of ram with 1Tb of storage lol

    • The price though.

Someone finally broke XS Max 512GB's world record price.

  • How do I get the HN port in discount?

  • I'm trying to find the best optus deal that has 200gb data for the purpose of using for home internet, the idea being to sell the phone or tablet. Anyone done this and which product did you buy?

  • I can get the entire S10 range for 20% off via EPP. Not sure if the Buds are included.

The S9 range is 35% off across the board.

All I need to do is find a cheap enough plan with enough data (I don't need 200GB).

    • Buds not included with EPP

      • That's fair, saves me the trouble of selling the buds.

  • i am paying $70 for 200gb optus 4g and $80 for my S8+ plan that has 2 months left… should i get this or will there be even better plans like this… last time as soon as i got my woolworths s8+ there were tons of better plans but this one seems really good and perfect for me

is it unrealistic to expect s10+ with 200gb for $80-100?

    • with 2 months left, they'll prob upgrade you without a penalty.

      • +1

Nope, I just tried via Live Chat and with 3 Months left they wanted to charge ~$150
No brand loyalty anymore like many have said previously

    • is it unrealistic to expect s10+ with 200gb for $80-100?

Later in the year, I think it will be likely. At launch, no.

  • So is this deal just for the S10+ or also the S10?

Happy to see Exynos chips which we usually get here, are even faster than Snapdragon 855: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Samsung-Galaxy-S10-with-Exynos…

  • Does anyone have any more information on OP's bottom paragraph?
"Further 10% discount from Harvey Norman port-in/new service = $99.5/month ($94.5 + $5) PLUS other discounts like Student 10% And/Or Bundle and Save discounts"? How/where can we find more information on this?
