Re: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/40422
The $40 bonus was meant to be paid by 30 April, I.e. today. Has anyone else got their bonus yet?

Thanks, bet they forgot about paying us because it definately won't happen in a weekend…
Possibly, wouldn't be a good customer relations move if they didn't pay it by today though.
I think they will though, it's just like every other bank, they are holding on to the $'s to make as much interest as they can before paying it out.
It's so easy for them to say that your "friend" didn't follow the right procedure when signing up on your referral, and so you aren't entitled to the $40. There's no way for you to prove otherwise.
They'd lose me as a customer if they did that.
my previous experience with them is that they paid miscellaneous bonuses up to a week after when then say they will and back-date the payment. so i would allow a couple of days after the date before starting to burn ingdirect brochures in the street :)
It is quite good at their part just as an internet bank
It's already May. Anyone here received the money from refering-a-friend?
Nah still none here.. I'd say mattgal's probably right, it'll be similar to past promotions. I'm guessing we'll see it in the next couple of days or sometime this week..
I've just had some if not all paid to me as of this morning. Check your accounts people :)
Yes. Had been paid as well. It dated back to 30/4/2011 and showed as Adjustment-interest credit, kind of weird.
it's just ingdirect's way of paying bonuses (as interest). i got $160 so i can't complain :) my friend got $160 as well.
i'm looking forward to the next ingdirect promo … :)
Received the same amount here, it sounds like I'm not the only person who had one special referral that had to botch it up.
nah, i'm happy with whatever i get/got.
Its counted as interest this time, compared to other ING bonuses in the past when they straight deposits. Means you need to pay tax on this.
you are supposed to declare any income you earn
I got it as well o well cant run from tax
INFACT - looks like ING have yet another $40 deal going - for opening an orange everyday account and using the visa card - http://www.ingdirect.com.au/everyday/orangeeveryday.htm (saw it on the homepage)
I'm not gonna bother posting the deal, but if someone else wants to go for it :)
*The $40 bonus offer is only available to new Orange Everyday customers for a limited time. One payment per customer per account (including joint accounts) will be made. The bonus payment will apply to the first Orange Everyday Visa Debit Card purchase made by 31 July 2011 and will be credited to your account following the qualifying purchase. looks like http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/39896 but with different end date and no registration required?
Doesn't seem to be, just the sign up for the new account. I haven't gone much further with it. I already have an OE, not sure if I can get a second and get in on this bonus, I got so many spare accounts at the moment I couldn't be bothered for an extra $40, but others might.
I just checked… Still nothing =/
Thats a bummer, maybe they are processing them in batches.
or it means your referals didn't deposit money y the due date… i know 2/3rds of mine didnt!!
I have not received yet
Received one $40 payment today. I'm not sure who I referred as I had posted my referral code on the OzBargain post - thanks to the OzBargainer that used my referral code :)
just note that the introductory interest period runs out exactly 4 months from the date you opened the account. the participating promos section on the internet banking is buggy. it still says i'm getting the introductory rate (even though i'm not) nearly a year later.
Received my $120 bonus interest on 30th April. My thanks to the Ozbargainers who used my referral code.
Was just looking at this as well, I know I have at least 2 people that took up the deal, so i'm sure i have some coming to me.
But I've been checking my account, nothing yet.
"BY" is such an interesting word in this instance isn't it, it could be in there a minute before midnight tonight and it would still be "by 30 April"
So nah, I haven't seen any money from the promo yet.
