Best to Wait for Click Frenzy Travel Deals? Best Time to Book Flight Tickets from SYD to MELB?

Hi friends,

I plan to fly from Sydney to Melbourne in the middle of March (able to postpone date a few weeks for best ticket price) and am looking to book tickets now. Click frenzy travel deals is coming in 6 days so is it best to wait for that? I've never used click frenzy travel before. Is the discount that significant?

Waiting for click frenzy means that I cannot book flights until the 26th and generally, correct me if I'm wrong but tickets are more expensive the more 'last-minute' you book your tickets so I'm just debating about whether to just book ASAP or wait for click frenzy.

Also, anyone know the cheapest way to get from the airport to the CBD? I've done research and there are SkyBus services but was wondering if there are cheaper options.
Edit: Seems like 901 route then train is the best go.

Any opinions, advice or experience would be very much appreciated guys.

    I'm not sure how much you will save on a Sydney-Melbourne flight, as there are always lots of flights at different prices (at different times of the day) with different airlines.
    You will probably save more by availing of the SkyBus service in Melb, rather than using a taxi, Uber, etc.

    Catching the 901 to broadmeadows and then catching the train is cheapest using a myki
