PC Building Help!!! and Suggestions

Hey everyone been having a look online for what i should buy (Case, CPU Cooler and Motherboard Wise) do you have any recommendations on what i should purchase?

Im willing to spend around $200 for Case, CPU Cooler and Motherboard

Ive already purchased:

G.SKILL Aegis 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000

GALAX GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC Graphics card - 4 GB - GDDR5

Thermaltake Smart RGB 500W Power Supply

Intel - Core i3-8100 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Processor

STILL NEED TO BUY:

Motherboard

Case

CPU Cooler

Hoping the case to have a glass window (tempered or not) and potentially RGB

Motherboard any size

CPU Cooler (Not fussed with aesthetics)

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!! Thanks!

Oh you meant 'CPU Cooler', not 'CPU, Cooler'. Okay.

Just a recommendation if it was possible, the RX 570 is vastly better then the 1050ti for equal/less price. Unless you really need a cool/small er card, the 570 is a better choice.

Can't help with the other stuff, not familiar with intel PC parts.

    • too late

  • you want help on probably the most subjective pieces to a build

  • Are you building a tall or smaller build ? (case size)

    • Tall or Small im not really fussed on what i get as long as the performance is high.

For an i3 8100, the stock cooler is fine, you won't be doing any OC anyway. If you want something a bit bigger and quieter, the Coolermaster Hyper 212X would be my go-to suggestion for a quiet tower cooler. For the case, just go with whatever you think look good. For your budget, have a look at the $30 - $40 MSY cases, they're actually pretty nice (I think they're the Armageddon or Rotanium cases). I've used some of them and they're pretty decent.

For the motherboard, I'd go with a B360 board. Something like the AsRock B360M-Pro4 for around $110 should be great. You can go cheaper, but you might lose out on some features.

    • thanks for your help ill look now on MSY!

Building your first computer from parts can be daunting; a considerable amount of research is required to purchase what best matches your needs at a price you can afford. If you are using a desktop PC for gaming or perfromace demanding tasks (like video encoding), you want to avoid a prebuilt budget system.

The CoolerMaster Hyper coolers do quite well in reviews. If you intend to overclock/overvolt your CPU you need a good cooler; CPU temps in summer soar with all the cores are working at 100% (mine can temporarily breach 90 degrees). Games normally aren't an issue since they aren't able to efficiently use multiple cores (one of the Ubisoft game, AC Odyssey I think, is an exception).

I've used the Antec P6 before building my son's gaming PC(purchased it for $69 late last year), and found it very good value for money considering its a cheaper tempered glass case:
