  • Will this also sync an iphone? or just a charge?

    • I'm presuming since it states Data transfer capability, that it should sync with no issues.

      • +1

just iphone only. no data sync over usb-c or micro port.

    • +1

Save $3 and don’t order this, breaks down after a handful of uses.

      • +15

        Save $1000 and don't get a iphone

        • +2

Sound advice. It looks like your saving typing "n" for "an" and the overuse of your shift key and full stop key. Bargain.

          • +2

@Daabido: Some people consider "an" iphone as a euphemism for a male sexual organ hence typing of "n" is non-compulsory.

  • How long is the cable?

    • 1.2M will add to post

  • -4

Stop asking question when you don't even go on the deal page. 1st comment said that no data only charge

    • +7

said that no data only charge

Description states : 480mbps transfer speeds

      • Who the hell care about Chinese description of their product, Users clearly stated that its no data. Damn too many chinese fellow here downvoting anything that go against them

        • +1

Who cares what users state, they didn't make the product. The manufacturer description should be more accurate as they made it so know exactly what it can do.

  • +4

    charge multiple devices at once
    What could possibly go wrong

    • Nothing. The power will be split between each device.

  • +2

Good for charging multiple different devices at once with a single cable. Not so good for charging same type of devices.

  • -7

Mine just arrived (ordered 3 weeks ago) but I havent tested it yet. I'll be using it in the car stereo that arrives later this week.

    • +25

Not the most helpful comment I’ve ever seen…

      • +7

Well they did provide a timeframe for when orders arrive by - 3 weeks is okay I guess

      • +10

They also mentioned they are getting a car stereo, so you'd assume they will be ordering speakers soon too…

        • +6

We’re building a pretty good profile. Nice work!

        • +6

Then, if all goes to plan, he’ll be buying a car

          • +5

@Kuzdog: After getting the car, they'll go for their licence too…

    • Cool story bro!

    • +1

Charges both an iphone and android phone at the same time, good charging speeds. Charges only when plugged into PC. I've got a baseus one. I'll plug it into the back of a 2DIN android media player for the car.

Thanks for the helpful comments and downvotes :/

  • +2

comes in 3 colours too - black, red and blue

    • -5

      black isn't a colour.

      • +2

for all intents and purposes… it is :P

      • +3

so if my hair is black, my hair has no colour?

        • -4

black is the absence of light, it's not a colour.

          • @jv: yes, so my hair has no colour?

          • +6

@jv: Good valid arguement when you give someone a shiner…

'he doesn't have a black eye your Honour, I just happened to punch all the colours out of his face'

            • @PuppieWayne: Pretty much. So since black isn't a colour, the investigators will also have a field day when witnesses say the suspect had hair with "no colour"

              • -1

@needs: Why do you think the police are having so much trouble with colourless African gangs !!!

            • -1

@PuppieWayne: You're confusing purple with black.

          • +5

@jv: the sad thing is you think you're being smart, but you're just coming off as being arrogant.

            • @Pornboy69er:

the sad thing is you think you're being smart,

              lol… nice segue…

              Back on topic…

            • @Pornboy69er: He's the kid at school you wanted to beat harder than a red headed stepchild.

      • -1

        It's all of the colours

        • that's white

          • +2

            @jv: Looks black to me.

In art, white is the absence of all color and black is the presence of all color. To artists, black is considered a color, white is generally not.

In light, the opposite holds true. Black is the absence of color, and white is the presence of all color.

To scientists, white is a bunch of colors, and black is not.

            • @spaceflight:

To artists, black is considered a coloUr

Is that why they're called BS artists?

  • +1

    Will this do fastcharge?

    • +1

No it won't as the data wires are needed.

In QC2.0 chargers, there is an interface chip that takes commands from the phone over the USB data lines. The commands tell the charger what voltage to supply.

  • +3

The image depicts charging 3 different devices simultaneously…

I am concerned that in the following scenario this cable might damage one or more of your devices:
    * multiple devices connected
    * fast charging, multi-voltage powerpack attached
    * one device supports fast charge and requests 19V
    * another device incompatible with fast charge and expects only 5V

Can someone technical please confirm if this is a risk?

    • Ill test mine tonight charging two phones at once. I'm guessing it will split the power charge, so both phones will charge slowly.

      • I'm worried it might fry the electronics of the device that does not support fast charge and cannot cope with voltages greater than 5 volts.

    • +1

It can’t charge simultaneously, tested with IPad and iPhone.

Edit: And it takes ages to charge a IPad Pro 11’ 2018.

      • Well… How much is iPad pro and how much is this cable…

    • +1

A couple of the AliExpress reviews say it only charges, no data, or as per the comment above maybe only connected on the Lightning connector.
I don't know the ins-and-outs of fast charging tech but I'm assuming if you only have the power pins connected the charger will only output the stock standard 5V since there are no data pins to run the charging protocols on - ofcourse that contradicts the whole QC 3.0 logo on the page but hey, it's AliExpress :P

From a pure wiring point of view, if one of the connectors does communicate to a charger to ramp up the voltage then yes you would probably damage the other device; if not immediately then certainly in not too long.

      • multiple devices connected

The power will be split between each device.

      • fast charging, multi-voltage powerpack attached
      • one device supports fast charge and requests 19V
      • another device incompatible with fast charge and expects only 5V

They are all irrelevant as fast charging will not work on a cable without data wires.

In QC2.0 chargers, there is an interface chip that takes commands from the phone over the USB data lines. The commands tell the charger what voltage to supply.

  • +2

These cables are shiit. Never again. Mainly the 3in1’s.
S8 and XS max are always complaining.

    • +1

what did ya expect from a for a $3 cable.

    • +2

Agree. Cables are handy for their multiple connectors but don't expect fast charging. My note 8 charges so slowly the battery actually goes down if used while charging.

      • +1

What are you doing with it exactly? Genuine question cos I'd hope it's under some pretty heavy load to use up more than say a standard 1A or 1.5A @ 5V.
Or more to the point, is indicating crappy cable quality if it can't even do basic charging well.

    • Are there any good cables I can buy? Dont need iphone charging just Micro USB and C.

      • I like my Wsken cable. But it's far more than $3.

With the one magnetic cable, you can just buy a separate tip for each device be it lightning, microusb or usb c.

  • Title misleading. It's not a charger. It's a cable

  • have a similar one that I bought on eBay. Does not do quick charging not 3A throughput. Got my money back. Price is good if the cable does what it claims to be able to do

  • +9
    • +2

That's USD. but yes cheaper and rock is better brand. I'm cancelling mine (this post)

    • Cheaper but uglier

    • Bought thanks

  • +1

It will be perfect for us to go out with a power bank as my family mobile phones have all the three USB types. Guys what do you expect from a $2 cable.

    • It should be fine for powerbanks useful if you have multiple devices

  • Love these kind of cables for car chargers

  • +1

I’ve got a Baseus branded one of these and could not be happier - still going strong after couple of years of use, no complaining from my iPhone Xs and can charge multiple devices simultaneously.

  • +1

    MFI?

  • handy! i could charge my Switch, iPhone, & powerbank all at once.

  • these are poor quality cables, you really have to be spending at least $8 for a decent one. Shouldn't be thought of as a 3in 1 but as a cable with two separate adapters attached to it.

    • 2.18 US with GST ;)

  • Thanks OP. Brought a couple. Having the versatility would be good. I've been in situations before where I have had mates with the latest Android phones but they forget their cable and I can't help them out with USB-C charging.

  • All the ones I have bought before dont work;
