iPhone XR 256GB $99/mth Unlimited Talk/Text 80GB Data (24 mth Telstra Contract, Port from Other Provider) @ JB Hi-Fi (in-store)

41

So JB hi-fi released their own plans a little while ago and starting today (in-store only) you can get the iPhone XR 256gb for only $99 a month when you port from a competitor to Telstra.

Not only that, they have the iPhone xs and xs max available for slightly more:
•XR 256gb $99 per month
•XS 256gb $119 per month
•Xs max 256gb $123 per month

The terms and conditions for this though are that you port from another provider other than Telstra onto a 24 month plan (no Boost mobile, Belong or Tesltra prepaid) but at least you keep your number.

The plan includes unlimited talk and text in Australia and 80GB DATA per month.
24 month plan
-no international talk and text-

I checked out Telstra's website and even Vodafone and Optus, it seems this is the cheapest plan available for these phones and you get more data. And you aren't leasing the phone so it's all yours after the 2 years.

Definitely worth heading in store to snag a new premium iPhone.

  • OP, the page you linked to doesn't mention anything about an iPhone XR 256gb. Please clarify the details of this deal.

    “That’s epic…” 🤢

  • The deal hasn't been posted yet. The ad needs a website to be posted though.

    • I've updated the title based on your description.

Are you associated / work for JB?

Still can't see the value, it's still very expensive. Same price as buying outright and going on a SIM only plan

    Not that good tbh.
OP , do you work for JB Hifi?

    • +2

There has been an influx of these in deals all with first time posters all promoting similar deals from JB. Majority of them have been removed.

      Very suss, especially the wording.

Agreed. Negging due to ordinary price and very suspicious wording by OP especially for a first post…. suspected sockpuppeting. Also another poster in here has said was unavailable at their local store.

Extra 9 a month with Optus, I get 120 GB monthly extra data and unlimited text and calls to listed countries. Too expensive for what it is.

People pay more for Telstra, the service is better. Especially in regional areas. Just in case you're confused.

      • No mate I'm not confused. I have been a Telstra costumer from Iphone 4 to Iphone 6S. There service between the two big telco is not worth paying a big price difference for Telstra services. I can hit peak download speed of 119 MB per second on Optus locally at home. So your mileage may vary. I don't venture to regional areas so often so there that.

as always, minimum total cost in title please
