Ok, I've been monitoring this pad for a while on eBay and this is the cheapest it has come down to. Mine arrived today and I can affirm that it is a genuine Samsung product, complete with all accessories. Can post photos if required. I was waiting for it to be delivered to post the deal, just to be sure.
Have tried an Apple HDMI adapter and a cheap Chinese HDMI USB C dock with my Note 9. The Apple adapter seemed to work ok and the phone did not complain. The other adapter had problems with mouse connectivity and my phone complained about not using genuine Samsung products. However, I bought the original because it doesn't make sense to screw up a $1500 phone to save some money by buying a cheap dock.
Works great and I can run Linux on Dex very well.
RRP $149, grab yourself a bargain for almost one third of the price!! Slightly cheaper with coupon code PICK3
Shipped from South Korea so comes with an international plug charger but Australian plug adapters abound on eBay. Shipping times are are reasonable. I ordered mine on 3rd Feb and it as delivered today.
Specs:
Equipped with a USB C charging port, and HDMI port and two USB A ports. See Samsung's website or seller's description for more specs.
Mod, the quantity that I see at the time of this post is 8 but I have observed that this seller deliberately sets it low to ensure eBay attracts users to the "hurry, low in stock, almost sold out" product. The seller seems to have plenty of stock because during the last three months or so I haven't ever seen it go out of stock.
What's your use case for this? I'm trying to think of one, but can't think of much where a normal HDMI adapter suffices.
