Tag is more expensive than pass in Citylink when travel more than 3 times in one day?

I used citylink a few times last Sunday, and it cost me $18.48 from my Breeze e-tag account. But I found the citylink weekend pass only cost $13.25.

So does it mean that using a tag will be more expensive in this case? So next time I should remove the tag hide under my seat and buy a pass afterward instead?

    The only problem I might see is that they might match your car's rego number to your account and automatically deduct it from your tag account anyway. Is the tag registered for a particular car?

    I found this in citylink website:

    "If you have an account, you can still enjoy the benefits of up to 12 CityLink passes per year when this option suits you best. If you buy a pass, simply remove your e-TAG for the travel you are covered by the pass, so the tolls aren’t also charged to your account."

    So next time when I travel citylink more than 3 times in a day, or in a weekend, I will give it a try.
