Mitsubishi Air Cons: 5kW SRK50ZSA-W $1230 @ ClimateHVACWarehouse, 2.5kW SRK25ZSA-W $779 @ SparkyDirect (Price Beat @ Bunnings)

90

Brisbane - $1230 at ClimateHVACWarehouse for the 5kW (SRK502SA-W), $779.90 for the 2.5kW (SRK25ZSA-W) at SparkyDirect. Bunnings has them for $1499 and $949 respectively. Then get Bunnings to price match beat by 10% brings it down to $1107 and $701.91 respectively - less $50 cash back as an e-gift card from Mitsubishi. If you really wanted you can apply for the $200 Qld govt peak smart rebate, if you want Energex to turn your air con off when the network load is high (ie on a hot day…no thanks). First time poster, I know that the 5kW has been slightly cheaper before, though it is a great price for the 2.5kW, thought I should share.

If you're not in Brisbane, you might have to add on the postage costs to get Bunnings to price beat because ClimateHVACWarehouse are at Capalaba and SparkyDirect are at Morayfield, hence you shouldn't have to add the postage cost for the price beat.

  • Where can you buy replacement filters for these?

    • Try your local Actrol Branch or MRE spare parts in Sydney they are the Australasian distributor for MHI spare parts.

Why’s this qld only. Do Bunnings only price match location. Or do they only sell air cons in qld?

    • Because it's a qld business they're matching?

      • Is that a question or a statement?

        • +2

          Yes

          • @theHMASfriendship: I've updated the title to remove QLD. I assume to get the price beat without freight you would have to live in QLD, though I am happy to be proven wrong.

  • Shop name in title please.

    • Didn't really know how the post guidelines go with the bunnings price match, whether to put bunnings in the title or the store your price matching to. I've updated to include Bunnings in the store.

  • Thanks!! Anyone know an easy way to get Bunnings to price match less 10% online?

  • Has anyone gone gone DIY and installed a system like this when replacing an old one that's already plumbed? Looks prohibitively hard requiring specialised tools, pumps and gases, yet a neighbour mentioned its possible to do it yourself now without worrying about vaccuuming out ambient air.

    • +2

Yes it is possible but won’t last long after contaminating the system with air and moisture.

  • The $200 Qld govt peak smart rebate only applies to the 5KW system;

"receive $200 purchasing and installing a PeakSmart air conditioner with 4kW to less than10kW cooling capacity"

  • Okay Bunnings will match the price but will not beat it by 10% because "we have to order it in" - I can't see that in their policy can someone educate me? I thought the item had to be in stock at their competitor not that they had it in stock…

    • Bunnings employees act like you're taking the money out there pockets. If a corporation like Bunnings is going to talk the talk then they should honour their price match guarantee.
The other bullshit thing bunnings do is in the rural areas they make you add freight to the price and then they'll price match. We should get the same price as in any other bunnings store in the country.

  • I'm not sure about the other models HOWEVER the 2.5Kw models have all been reduced to a price where you can't price beat anymore. I bought mine from Bunnings yesterday at $710 for each unit even though it was still advertised as $949 on their website. Seems like they're slow with updating their prices.
