Recommendation for a Decent Travel Coffee Mug

So I stupidly left my coffee travel mug on the train and it has not shown up in lost property or anywhere. I cannot replace it as it was an old Starbucks travel mug so am looking for a replacement.

I am not keen on anything with complex lid mechanisms, needs to be tapered and easy to hold, does not need to keep coffee searingly hot but hot enough, is easy to clean, preferably lightweight metal and does not require unscrewing the lid to drink.

had a couple of keep cups but never kept coffee hot enough more than an hour with risk of spilling. Got a Zojirushi bottle from Amazon, never looked back.

+1 for Zojirushi. Once you go Zoji, you can never go back.

  • I am currently using this, It keeps the coffee warm for about 3-5 hours. I normally preheat the flask with boiling water and rinse and then pour coffee in. but the only down side to this flask is that cleaning can be a pain. maybe a bottle cleaner works best. oh and this might be abit tall for the coffee machines but I had no problem with Barista's at my local shopping centres.

  • I love my Avex Contigo Coffee Travel Mug <3

I like these. Can’t comment on longevity but have had one on the household since last December. Easy to clean (all of it goes it top rack of dishwasher), doesn’t leak, coffee stays hot.

Cons: relatively pricey, the screw on lid is threaded on the inside so if you fill it too full the lid will screw on and overflow whatever is in there.

  • I use one of these for coffee, https://www.t2tea.com/en/au/teawares/flasks/t2-stainless-ste…

Just ditch the tea infuser thing

  • If you are ok with plastic, frank green. Screw tight lid, nothing is getting out of there. You can also link the cup to your bank card and pay with it.

  • I'd never buy one. People often leave perfectly good ones lying around in all sorts of places, just need to keep an eye out for one.

  • Im sure many will disagree as there are $35 but I have not found a better cup in 7 years. I have been using my current one daily for 4 years now. If you preheat it will stay hot most of the day. I have tried many but simply nothing that I have tried compares in durability and keeping your coffee hot. My Mrs has bought a new one now as she just didn't like the now scratched finish after many years use.

    • PS 12 months of that 4 years it was hooked by its handle over my old Land rovers dashboard on mainly corrugations tracks through the top end. Only thing that happened was rubbing off the paint on the contacted part of the mug.
