I called the NAB Kiosk two days ago and they said the date that the money will be deposited has been moved back by head office to the 2nd of May due to the recent computer glitches that NAB has been having. Cheers

I wonder how the computer glitch that happened so many days ago can affect this. It's not like the NAB computers have been working at full capacity the whole time since the glitch, and that everything has to be pushed back by 3 days.
push back 3 days just so no one can take the free bonus and go to cba and grab cba's bonus too, coz by 2nd of May, commonwealth bank promotion is ended.

NAB has violated T/C's and they should be given maximum of 45 days to resolve the issue.Lol i called back today. They have pushed it back to the 5th….

The tone of voice was really assertive and apologetic, to be honest i think NAB are just trying to push this back as far as they can, paying out people money seems to be the last thing on their mind.
Maybe time to lodge a complaint.
It's a bit of a joke .. I only opened these accounts to get the $50 (in saying that I have been using it!), I did also open a CBA account so I could get the $100 from them (opened two classic accounts with NAB) .. The difference being the CBA payment was quick … After this delay I think it's the CBA that I'll stay with after getting the $50! Not a good way for NAB to keep customers!!
I closed CBA account long time ago… Of course, after I received $100.
The quicker you close your account, the better.

It's not free money. We travelled far to get to NAB's kiosk and spent out precious time with them.
And yet we have to check our accounts everyday after 28 April!

I got paid this morning, the transaction was backdated to yesterday.
I went to Commonwealth on the 29th.
Already been paid my $100 there…….. I wonder who I will stay with.the problem with the cba is that they have the monthly account keeping fee (so it costs money to keep open) and their fees and interest rates are not as competitive as others. but this is the 21st century - you don't need to have an allegance to one particular bank. i've got accounts at several banks.
I have a student account so there are no fees.
There is another free account they offer where I think if you deposit $200 a month you get 6% interest.I think it was Goalsaver

I actually got a phone call from NAB asking me if I closed my account recently, to which I replied "Yes I did" and I was told that I am owed $50 and they are sending it to another account for me now.

i got the cba bonus without closing my nab account. apparently some cba branches were more zealous than others …

if you are concerned then your best bet is to simply ring up and enquire about the status of your payment
Just spoke to NAB, the lady told me should have received by yesterday. So she put in a request to their back office or something to credit $50 into my account. I'll wait till next Wed, if money still not there will go to FOS :D

Just got a call from the kiosk where I opened my account, the manager told me I will not be getting the $50 because I opened the account purely for the $50. He said a lot of people opened the account just for the $50 and therefore will not be getting the $50. I am lodging a complaint with FOS, anyone else have the same problem?
as long as you have complied with the advertised t&cs then they can't really knock back your payment.

Nope, the $50 I deposited is still in the account. I did tell the guy that I have the brochure/leaflet for the promotion and I have complied with all t&cs. He insisted on not paying me the $50 because I was not a genuine customer(ie signed up with them just for the $50 bonus). I figured there's no point talking with him and so I told him I will be lodging a complaint with FOS. Very shocking customer service, I was actually considering taking out a homeloan with them. But after this experience, I think I'll stick with CBA.
I haven't got a reply from them and haven't got my $50 but I support your FOS process. Please keep us informed about your case.
Maybe they think you signed up just for the $50 that's why you haven't got yours too(Ridiculous,i know).
I just got off the phone with their "Complaint Resolution Team" and made a formal complaint(FOS advised me to try resolve this with nab's internal dispute resolution).
The guy at the complaint department was shocked when I told him about what happened, he promised to get this sorted and credit me $50.To be honest I opened the account to get the $50. I thought their accounts were quite good so I am now using them for my banking. My current balance is $3.37

I suggest you contact NAB via internet banking message. It's available 24 hrs, free, quick and you can keep a copy of the correspondence in case you want to use FOS. They will take days to reply but that's alright.

Going through FOS, I've got mine.
i did this in december and got it in january or february. some people got it earlier than me, i got it about 4 days late for some reason. it will come though dont worry.
