I currently on contract with dodo with adsl till october. NBN is now available and have been offered it at no extra cost. Also been told there will be no down time between connection set up and adsl disconnect. Wondering if anyone can suggest if should take up or not. So many bad reports on NBN, so confused if better to stick with ADSL till contract expires.

Go NBN, but i would get away from Dodo, they are simply an ultra budget company. With NBN you dont want a company who would be willing to skimp on bandwidth or support IMO.
Oh, and ensure you are on at least a 50Mb NBN plan.Ask them what form of NBN you will be receiving. If it's FTTN or FTTP go for it.
If it's HFC then stay on ADSL and switch to an actual competent company in October and use them to get connected to the NBN. Otherwise you risk a long period of no internet at all. Google it.
i'm on hfc and its fine…
There are thousands of people who had cable internet stuck in NBN limbo. Their cable internet has been terminated but NBN HFC not activated. Thus why I asked.
@kizashi - FTTN is fine, jump on it. You should receive far better speeds.
you dont want fibre to the node… there's more issues delivering speeds to fttn… that they're looking at fttc installs…
hfc is fine after the freeze…
of course media will report the 2% that has issues with the technology…..
On NBN website says it is nbn™ Fibre to the Node (FTTN)
Expect Zero service from them if you ever need support. Speaking from personal experience I suggest moving to another provider:
Their support staff lied, mislead, and signed me up to a new contract without ever discussing with or agreement from me. Terrible company.

Quite sure anyone giving them 5 or 4 stars works for them.
I totally agree. Only plan on staying till 2yr contract lapses. Do not want to cancel and be up for the cancellation fee. Plan on going on cable internet after that.
that'll be an nbn service. no more Telstra/Optus only.
No. I live in an area that has Iinet cable. So able to move to that when finish my dodo contract. They own line, so no issues with NBN.
@kizashi: nice. very attractive pricing.
Go NBN, you’ll be just fine.
