What does everyone use for restricting ads on a mobile phone for kids. Still need to be able to access Internet. Am more concerned about ads.
Thank you

Thanks. I'm not that savvy.
Its mobile data.
Maybe an app that you know about?
Do you need it for all apps, or just when browsing the web?
Brave is quite a good browser for blocking ads https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brave.brow…
They're ads that just popup every now and then. Have made the settings as tight as possible, but they're still coming through. Some are a bit sexy… Prefer not to have them coming through.
This app looks good, thanks
Browser - Samsung Internet (already really good) with the plug-ins: Adblock, Crystal, Disconnect etc etc
In App - a lot harder, but you can try Adguard, Blockada etc. Main thing they do is route through their servers so you kind of rely on them not selling your info haha
Thank you. Identity theft is pretty scary!
there is a very effective app called Adhell (now SABS) that use samsung knox kernel to block ads using knox firewall but it got taken down by Samsung due to DCMA ruling, if you want PM me i give you the apk package (you can get source code from the web but have to do some modification and recompile the package yourself, based on your comment regarding router blocking then I think you'd be better using this approach).
But getting the apk is just the first step, you'll have to sign up for samsung developer program (free) to generate your own licence key to get the app working (because the app still in developer mode). But once you got it up and running it works like a charm, you can even remove/disable completely the bunch of bloatware samsung gave you as the bonus.
Thank you so much for your comprehensive reply and offer of help. I'm ignorant when it comes to such things as technical as what you're offering and so I wouldn't know where to start.
I'll leave it for now. I messed around at length with the ad settings and have had some success..
Once again, thank you
Do they only use it at home?
If you're a bit savy with technology you could just set up a pihole on your network and set the router's DNS to that IP.
