Hi, i am buying a phone claiming to be Australian stock, can you guys tell me whoever has the gs9, what model number does it say it should start with SMxxxxxxxxx.

Another indicator is the SoC. If they claim it's a SMG960F but then list it as Snapdragon, they're lying. Australian models are only Exynos and not Snapdragon.
Thanks for that, i checked bing lee which list the model number but the site that i went to (Australian model) has a different model code, however they both start with SM-G960Fxxxxxxxxxxx
Also in regards to your information, the cpu listed is (Octacore) which unfortunately doesn’t specify which is which since they are both octacore
It's probably a grey import then. All of the international models excluding USA, Canada, China and Korea start with SM-G960F, then it differs from there depending on region. Under the hood they're all the same, but I assume you want Australian stock for warranty purposes?
Yeah, just in case the battery runs out too quickly and needs replacing or phone or screen suddenly stops working. Although it hasn’t with the past 3 phones in my household, want to get it just in case. . YOu reckon i should contact the seller and discuss this issue with them when my phone arrives (also fast way is a terrible carrier, sent it on Monday and still haven’t received it today and its only a sunburb away ridiculous, never had a problem with aus post).
@[Deactivated]: If it's important to you then it's worth checking with them, was the pricing cheaper than most AU stock or on par? As you don't want a grey import and still be charged full price.
@Beanvee: Totally agree, allphones one i trust since is Telstra unlocked (obviously Australian) but they have s9 and s9+ at same price and my family member wants the s9 so i got it from another company
@[Deactivated]: Just received it today, apparently is Telstra unlock with the blue tick on the front and 4gx logo

IMEI number when input into a IMEI checking site like this also tells you the technical model number of the device.
