thanks in advance- mine just died today and need replacement asap

  • most should be well under $100, have a chef inox rotary that is fine, but has not had heavy use. Don't get an oxo one, too much plastic that breaks.

Think the OP is after an electric one hence the budget under $100 …

Both Kenwood and Breville do hand mixers for $50

      • I second the Breville. Great little machine. Bought it after my second Woolworths mixer packed up in the middle of baking a cake at 11pm. Never looked back.

  • Kmart $10 which I have seen for $2 in the past (hand held electric mixer)

    • Had one years ago. Apart from overheating at times was ok

      • IME the Kmart ones have no overheating protection - once they stop they stop forever. I've gone through a number of them in the last year.

  • I can recommend the Braun Multiquick 3.

Goodguys have it at $69 right now.

    • Sorry, but not a proper hand mixer. These types are great at whisking, but not mixing flour

  • My pick is the Sunbeam JM6600 because unlike the cheapies it comes with whisks (in addition to the regular beaters) and find these work awesome for quick results.

    • This is the one I've been looking at. Billy Gyuats has it for $49

      • $49 is pretty decent; RRP is $69.95. Pretty popular model when I used to hang out in small appliances in a department store

  • We got this one a few years back, no complaints. (A little over your budget though?)

    • Seems a but underpowered at 220W. Thanks for the suggestion though

  • Why would you want to mix hands?

    • So the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Why else?

Thanks everyone, ended up getting the Sunbeam JM6600 for $49 from Good Guys (price match from Billy Guyats)
