Be like the Greek driving instructor, Adjustiz Miraz
Just stick those little round blind spot mirrors from supercheapauto onto the side mirrors, it's what my parents always did and what I do too. Very cheap and easy.
Check your blind spot the old fashion way with your head and eyes instead. It's good to not rely on those things.
This , is what I was taught, and always try to do.
Not always possible though, eg. In my van (which has no side windows behind) or in my SUV even (when back section is loaded with stuff blocking my view.
I try to avoid relying on it because not every car has it and I think that if I got used to it, I'll probably forget to check when I drive cars that don't have that function.
Don't you just adjust the 3 mirrors in your car to avoid the Blind Spot?

Thanks for the video, I have been doing the 'proper' way naturally because it's logical but my family who borrow my car from time to time tell me it's wrong….now it all makes sense.
How bad a driver are you? 😂 Those are driving aids and should never be trusted. If they're not lit up, you still need to check to make sure…
Have you tried turning your head? Saves on parts and labour…
Why bother?
Like others above, don't rely on this feature to avoid crashes as they're not fail-safe, and definitely don't get a round wide view mirror like someone else mentioned. You must adjust your side mirrors correctly to bring the blind spot into focus and also do a manual head check each and every time.
All these new safety "features" serve to do are to instil a false sense of security
