Hi,
I was previously a loyal buyer from scoopon.com, and bought about 15 of their deals.
When I had difficulty redeeming one of their deals for Mocean Restaurant $49, they never helped me by either offering store credit or a refund.
I tried for 5 weeks to book for Mocean Restaurant a number of times, and each time I was told that the restaurant was fully booked until the expiration of the deal on 22/04.
I contacted scoopon 3 times about this matter and each time they started their policy was they don't control redemptions.
I actually turned up on the 21/04 and tried to be seated. Their was plenty of seating but I refused because 'I needed a booking'. I found out that the owner was closing down and relocating the business next week.
He didn't want to redeem the vouchers that people had paid for.
I told scoopon about the situation, and they refused a refund.

Other deals websites such as stardeals, cudos are evidently fine. They'll refund your vouchers if you have any issues.
Don't buy from a money greedy scam company like www.scoopon.com.au, or you'll find similar problems.

contact your local fair trading oranisation. the scoopon faq says they will refund your money if you can't redeem your voucher.
