Care instructions
The best way to extend the life of your wooden outdoor furniture is by cleaning it regularly, not leaving it outdoors unprotected more than necessary and to re-stain it on a regular basis.
Clean: With a mild soapy solution. Wipe dry with a clean and dry cloth.
Maintenance: To prevent the surface from drying out and cracking and moisture from penetrating into the wood we recommend you to re-stain the furniture on a regular basis, for example once or twice a year.
Storing: If possible, store in a cool dry place indoors. If the furniture is stored outside, cover it with a waterproof cover. After a rain or snowfall, wipe off excess water or snow from flat surfaces. Allow air to circulate to avoid condensation.

  • One review has been made on these. Doesn't sound they are long lasting if they are left outside (which would usually be their purpose).

Bought 2 of these 2 years ago, loved them when they were new. Have oiled the furniture as instructed but the timber has warped & split. The cushions faded very quickly & have since been thrown away. Disappointed!

  • I had one of these and it did not last very long outside (2 years - then it ended up in hardwaste).. It actually fell apart. Not sure if it is still the same; but the frame was not made out of one piece of wood … just glued together smaller pieces (which then fell apart after a while). Maybe check this first when you want to purchase it.

  • Yeah, the reality is that our Australian sun is just a bit too strong and the thickness of the wood means that these wear out fairly quickly. Mind you, so do the Aldi plastique ones as well. If you buy a large BBQ cover (which is admittedly pretty ugly), then you can prolong the life.

  • I brought 6 drawer unit from last deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/432582
It was very bad quality as it wobbles; I'm looking for return it but need to pay $20
    I don't recommend this product

  • All Ikea outdoor timber products are coated in low quality oil that only lasts a few months in the Australian sun.
If you sand it off and coat it with a good water based decking oil such as Ultradeck it will last for years.
But then you spend more on oil then on the product itself
