:P
Cashews are $17.99 might want to update
it's $17.99 for 1.2kg pack.
I buy walnuts at that price in a local shop specialising in mediterranean food.
Mega continental in west end BrisbaneI have tried Aldi walnuts before and for some reason tasted very dry and unlike the ones I buy from Woolies. Have not bought since then (a year ago). Not sure if the quality has changed or not.
^ I second this opinion, but my purchase was almonds. I think I'd stick to coles/woolies as well.
I had some bad almonds from Aldi and thought not again. But then my wife bought another pack recently and they were nice. Perhaps a new supplier.
Almonds seem softer and stale from Aldi. Won’t get gets nuts from them again.
Don't like cashews either, quality not great.
Are these as good as nibbling Nobby's Nuts?
no they are unsalted and raw.
Nice, thanks OP.
Big fan of both, Stocked up!can anyone guide how much these cost at Costco ?
Costco sell 1.15 kilo organic cashews (raw) for around $32.
But costco product is top quality in a platic jar. Can't compare these with Aldi cashews.
Aldi cashews are great if you could roast them in an air fryer. Thanks how much are the Aldi walnuts for which they sell in similar plastic bags ?
Bit off topic (sorry), but does anyone know how much raw macadamias cost at Costco? I'm not a member there.
$50 a year
Correction, $60
I went to Costco looking for macadamia nuts a couple of weeks ago and could not find any. But I really like Costco hazelnuts. They are roasted and really good quality.
Walnut
Got a packet of cashews yesterday, still unopened. Best before date 15 OCT 2019. PS I have a walnut tree. I eat what the cockatoo’s leave me.
Update opened the pack tonight and had a couple of handfuls. Softer on the bite and a bit more blandness that the packet from the woolies naturals from the health food section I just finished.
Guess it’s a matter of you get what u pay for.
wonder if macadamia ever gets a price drop. omega 3-omega 6 ratio is a thing for me.
Same. And low PUFAs
Aldi macadamias are the cheapest per kilo I've found. Grate some Sea salt on them, delicious.
walnuts = the strange people you find at walmart stores ?
haven't seen the Woolies ones on special for ages!
This thread is WAY tamer than I thought before I clicked in. I'm not sure I'm disappointed or not. The lack of puns and innuendo is disturbing.
How is this a even on Ozbargain? This is the normal price! I'd rather go for the Pistachio at this price
Better than Coles/Woolies price and quality I'd say. If they have a better price, do post here.
Bought the Cashews one and roasted in the Air fryer. Yum!
Is it nation wide ? don't see in Aldi Catalog
Finally a retailer stocking "natural cashews". Aren't we all sick of the unnatural ones?
