Damn, I could have saved a bit of money getting pre-owned instead. Most of the $9 titles (new) are only $4 in this sale :(

    Some good deals.

    Ezio collection $12
    Uncharted 4 $12
    Prey $12
    Battlefront 2 $12

    • Enzio is on sale if you have hold (I think) for around 13$ on the Microsoft store

      • Physical copy for less money pick up has to be the go, or for anyone who is orderibg any other game for delivery

        • Sorry, for some reason I read the price of enzio as higher…

Nothing in stock waste of time.

      • So because nothing is in stock around you specifically, it's a waste of time?

        Good thinking

        • Or he means, it says in stock but once you place the order and pay for delivery, they will cancel the items as being out of stock. Half my previous order from EB games was "out of stock" after i had made the payment.

          • @lonewolf: And I'm sure you got refunded.

The EB system accounts for stock as being available as long as specific stores have a certain amount of stock. If you order overnight, the next morning the stores with available stock will receive order requests as not everything comes directly from the warehouse.

Let's say a store has 3 copies of game X. Overnight as the store is closed and nobody can fulfill the order, 6 orders are placed. The order will still go through as per normal on your side of the screen as the system accepts the payment as to streamline the successful orders, however 6 people cannot receive 3 copies of the game. Therefore whoever orders first has priority and once the first 3 orders are fulfilled, the overflow are cancelled and you will be refunded. The alternative method is to actually visit your local stores with stock in order to ensure a copy as EB also prioritise in-store customers before online customers.

For example, it's 8:30am. The store has just opened its doors for the day and there is one person outside wanting game X. The customer enters the store, goes straight to the game and buys it from the cashier before they have time to check or fulfil their online orders. That customer will also have priority as they made the effort to enter the store.

So instead of complaining online on Ozbargain, if you care this much, go take the information I have provided and complain to EB head office. Otherwise these comments are a "waste of time".

@Faro: Sorry that doesnt add up, because there are orders that cant be placed for delivery but yet are available for click and collect. And my orders werent placed overnight but middle of the day. Prioritising customers who have paid first should be how its done really because once its paid then the contract has been established.

there are many other shops that seem to have online ordering without these kinds of issues as you will find on the EB threads.

Plus you get refunded for the games but might end up receiving 1 game and paying 10$ for shipping which you otherwise would not have ordered or you would have just gone and done click and collect if its only 1 game. I think there is more to their ordering system than what you have stated.

And i believe this is a forum where comments are welcomed about the store. Not sure what you are so aggressive about.

    Last Guardian $9

Super Saturday Wolfenstein: The New Order New was $9 in this sale second hand it's $12.

    So do your checking.

  • Damn, Axiom Verge for Switch is sold out. $4 is an amazing price.

    • They haven't had stock of that for about 6 months. I have no idea why it's even still on their website. It said Out of stock last sale and was listed as $28

    Don't forget the 3DS! I personally recommend;

    $4 Picross 3D Round 2
$9 Puzzle and Dragons Z + Puzzle and Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition
$12 Dr Kawashima's Devilish Brain Training: Can you stay focused?
$12 The Legend of Zelda - Tri Force Heroes
    $12 Hyrule Warriors Legends
    $12 Fire Emblem: Warriors
$23 Bravely Second - End Layer
$23 Fire Emblem: Echoes - Shadows of Valentia

Just my opinion but some pretty great 1st party titles right there.

    • Oh wow
I didn't realise they'd have first party titles so cheap which is why I didn't check.

Shame the two I'm interested in I already have on switch though

    • +1

Thanks for the heads up, I picked up Yokai Watch and Bravely Second for $35!

  • Can anyone explain why some of their preowned titles are dearer than brand new? What’s the reason? Or just nonsensical EB Games reasons?

Rugby League Live 4 on XBox $36 New and $78 Preowned.

Prices are closer for the PS4 New/Preowned copies of League Live.

Because they own 100% of their own stock and have a % mark up based on what they give people for trade ins.

Their new stock is priced by the distributers and I believe get cleared after X amount of months which is why some go ridiculously low

      • +1

Thanks for explaining. And thanks to whoever negged me.

      • I can still see Slave1 point. Who's going to buy pre-owned if it's more expensive than new?
Especially in this case where pre-owned is more than double the price of new.

$17 for all three Dishonored games, tempting…

    • You can get the complete collection of all 3 dishonoured games for 24.95 on the playstation store. Does anyone know if buying 2nd hand games risks any unusable codes for downloadable content. Happy to get 2nd hand if it means I get everything as new!!!

link to play store 24.99 deal for download…

Dishonored Definitive Edition has all the dlc on disc and Dishonored 2 + Death of the Outsider have no dlc so you're good to go.

        • +1

Thanks Footlong… ordered. Due to stock had to get 2 new of the 3 at my local but managed to match the total price with play store for hard copies I can share with a friend. Cheers

  • Deus ex and dishonored now $9 each :(

    • +1

      I've noticed a few items I've bought for $4 now $9.
The Last Guardian posted above went from $9 to $23.

Does EB usually raise prices while a sale is still ongoing?

      • +1

Not usually. That is really weird and annoying.

  • The only $4 Deus Ex copies in my area are ones with no covers.

  • Dishonoured 1 is still stickered at $4, despite the price rise online. Best to get in quick.

    • when I went in to my local eb yesterday to get my click and collect orders the stock on the shelf had already been changed to $9 (for the definitive edition at least).
The one I bought was still stickered at $4.

      • Oh wow, what timing!

Thank goodness for inconsistent pricing, I guess.

        • Really bizarre this practice of raising prices while a sale is still ongoing.

I wonder if they have a mechanism that monitors sales and if something starts selling fast it bumps the price up?
