Millenius Apanda A60 phone now down to $199 after mass neg votes

So after about 10 neg votes and a whole heap of comments about how overpriced the phone was, the rep has decided to drop it down to $199, which puts it as the same price point as the Garmin A50. While not necessarily a bargain it does deserve a mention in the forums… I think.

Spec wise, the Garmin and Millenius are about the same except with a few major differences — this phone has a 3.5mm jack while the A50 does not, it has a flash 5 mpx camera whereas the Garmin only has a 3 mpx (no flash, autofocus cam) and it also only has 512mb of internal memory as opposed to the 3.4 GB on the A50.

  • Listening to your comments, $199 for today only.

    possible for next 19 minutes?
    idk

  • While the price seemed reasonable now, the rep's attitude totally puts me off. Imagine dealing with customer support when the phone is faulty.

I didn't think his 'tude was that bad, the initial deal was shite, and he was trying way too hard to talk it up, but IMHO he wasn't particularly rude or arrogant.

It just came across to me that he was just trying to play salesman in a forum where he quickly found you can't kid the kidders! If he'd done his research he'd have started at $199, made a few sales & come out smelling of roses! ;)

Fair enough. The comment the rep made about holding off opinions and find another deal just somehow irked me quite a bit.

Its a shame because he waited until nobody could see it before reducing the price…

  • Deal's over!

    • It will be back up again soon, I can't see them running out the door at $299, but if he'd have given it more time at $199 he might've moved a couple.

It looks like a respectable phone for effectively $174 (considering the cheapest 16gb microsd is ~$25).

  • Its still on $199.
