Setting up an Amazon India Account for eBooks

Hey all
So I’m trying to set up an amazon India account to take advantage of the cheap ebooks. Has anybody done this recently? People seemed to be doing it ok on here in 2017 but I followed the advice and I wonder if they’ve cracked down on people from other countries signing up?

I signed up to amazon.in using an Aus number
Put in an Indian address
It says “this title is not available for your country/region.” In the kindle books search results
How have people got around this?

    No I haven’t tried that thanks guys. I did wonder about that and couldn’t find any free ones for India, but at $50 a year for a vpn if I buy enough books I should make that back
