I just received this in an email and I didn't think it was too bad of a deal. Not as good as some others, but still reasonable!

GA Ticket: $9 (+$1.50 booking fee if booking online)
LUX Ticket: $25 (+$3 booking fee if booking online)

Inclusions:
Voucher valid for ticket selected upon purchase only. Valid for one person

Availability:
Tickets valid for sessions screening from 1 February – 28 February 2019. Not valid Fridays and Saturdays after 5:00pm. Not valid on public holidays

Conditions of the deal:
Not valid for special or group events. Not valid for IMAX or Alita: Battle Angel. Standard Vouchers are valid at HOYTS Cinema locations only. HOYTS LUX vouchers are valid for HOYTS LUX sessions only. HOYTS tickets are issued immediately and cannot be refunded. 7-day cooling-off period not applicable. Seats are not guaranteed and subject to availability; it is recommended that you book your tickets in advance via the HOYTS website or app. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times within the HOYTS LUX areas. Photo ID is required as proof of age for movies with restricted ratings.     Apart from Alita - there might not be movies worth watching. Unfortunately Alita is marked as not valid

    With the relatively short expiry date; I prefer to buy from this deal just either at cinema or just before going there.

    Can anyone comfirm if this scoopon purchase send you the ticket voucher straight away ?

    Or is it more a matter of make purchase on scoopon, then wait a while till they send the voucher link.

    Wow, never knew that even the booking fee is doubled if you get a LUX tiket. I guess it makes sense as the online portal does have to use separate tubes and the invoice will say "LUX" on it. Totally fair.

      Yep, I've always wondered the logic behind that.

      Hell, having an online booking system means the potential to save on customer service wages. Booking fees for cinemas is just something I will never understand.

      It's like weddings… people charge triple as soon as they hear it's for a wedding. There's no reason behind it, just that it's more profitable to them.

      Can you tell I'm salty about how expensive weddings are? sigh

      Yes. Only restrictions are Friday and Saturday after 5PM.

      Both are different types of experience. In Simple terms, extreme screen cinemas is your normal cinema except for a bigger (wider) screen

    Bought 2 yesterday, the local Hoyts here refused them today. They said not valid at their location, yet the conditions don't mention any invalid locations.
