Biggest Pain Points for Booking Budget Travel?

Hi All
I'm currently creating an online tutorial on how to save money booking travel online, and am looking for participants to fill out a quick questionnaire on their pain points.
A random pool of participants will also receive free access to these tutorials :)
If you could help out that would be fantastic!
Safe travels!

Google bestjet, if you are ever going the super cheap oz bargain dodgy company way. Always pay by visa/mastercard etc and pay their small fee instead of direct debit. So you can get a chargeback if you need it, as nearly every travel insurance doesn't cover.

  • Define budget travel?
Are you doing a FD hacks / listing?
If so I would be interested.

So for background, Im an ex-travel agent who always ends up paying under what other people pay for the same destination.
I obviously know some inside tricks but want to get an idea of what everyones pain points are before I prepare any materials for my 'hacks'

For example, I just returned from New York over xmas, stayed at the Hyatt paying $1,600. Other guests had paid 3.5k - 4k.

  • The beds in budget hotels are painful, flying lcc airlines and eceonomy is painful.

    Budget = pain

Try avoid sitting on the pointy bits.

Ex travel agents would know the pain points from working with clients. What could we tell you that you don't already know?

If you're going to a travel agent, you're less likely to be booking online, and if you are, the agent isn't going to engage in conversation a way that is going to generate discussion on the topic.

      • Fair enough.

  • Pain point - Paying for checkin luggage on some airlines eg Eurowings.

    • Or literally every LCC.

  • What tricks do you have ex-travel agent?
