I've tried a few of these cheap wireless chargers. This one is the only one that's lasted & still works.

      • No, but I would. You can't go wrong with blitzwolf.

        • I actually bought this Blitzwolf a week or two ago, and it worked okay for the first few days, however now after a few minutes the charge light starts flashing and charging stops. I'm returning the Blitzwolf and have purchased the Choetech in this deal.

  • any particular difference between flat vs standup wireless chargers?
    apart from obvious orientation

FYI, ones with builtin fan are better for the battery.

    • +2

Why is that, isn't the fan cooling the charger? Or is the lower temp on the pad subsequently better for the battery in the phone?

      • He's just making it up.

      • The fan should in theory reduce surface heat.

  • Will this work with the Note 9? I find a lot of the upright chargers are too small to work reliably.

    • It'll work but I'm not sure how reliable given you'd had trouble with others.

      • would this work with the Note 7?

        • +1

          Yes

          • @Clear: would one with a fan work better? fan the fire?

            • @Penpinch: With a fan it'll charge more efficiently.

    • +1

Works fine with mine, I'm using the case that was included with the phone as well with no issues.

I like this blitzwolf model better. Foldable too..

Directly email [email protected] for a 20% off coupon from Amazon AU

    • Sorry the coupon is for amazon or direct through them?

      • Amazon. Though Banggood and Amazon are direct for Blitzwolf ;)

        • what is better Clear? Just ordered ChoeTech however; I do love the Blitzwolf products. Tried & tested the cables

          • @BNR32: Choetech have been in the game far longer but in terms of the product itself the only major difference is that the BlitzWolf can fold.

            • +2

@Clear: Champion as always! I will trial and test the Choetech based on your advice. Hopefully wont die after 12-18 months like a lot of the reviews on amazon.com….3,2,1 Clear

          • @BNR32: Hmmm Choetech charger uses micro USB, while Blitzwold charger uses USB c. I think this is the dealbreaker for me.

            • @BargainHunterMYz: They'll both supply the appropriate cable with a USB-A end so it's really no biggy.

              • +1

@Clear: Ya. Still would prefer the option to just unplug the wireless charger and cable charge my phone when I need to fast charge my phone. With Choetech I would need to use an adapter.

                Will live with it.

    • That actually looks legit. Was wanting one that would do both. Thanks - just shot them an email.

    • Can confirm emailing to ask for 20% works! Worked out to be $19 ish, cheaper than choetech! To save you time, do specify in the email your from Australia and link the Amazon link above, so you don't need to waste time with multiple emails.

      Thanks for this mate!

      • I just checked, I did receive their 20% off code as well..

However it seems that they have also jacked up the price!

I found cheaper on Banggood now.

  • Is the light bright? I'm not a fan of bright lights next to my bed.

    • +1

Have the same charger and the light is not as bright as a white LED. It is a dull green. Charges my IPhone XS Max pretty quickly! Happy with the purchase done 6 weeks ago!

      • Thank you. Let's see what it's like for my Pixel 3!

      • Is the light off when no device is charging?

    • Check out LightDims. I'm the same as you, so I have them on my TV, computer, switch chargers etc.

  • Bought one! Thanks OP. Getting it to charge an iphone 8 and Pixel 3. Doubt it'll work for the P3 at 10W but worth $23 for a shot.

  • Interested to know if charging will be affected by having a thick case like this:
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Premium-Hybrid-Rubber-Heavy-Duty…
over my S7 Edge, as well as having a round metal plate between the phone and the case to use on a magnetic car airvent phone holder like this:
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Premium-Hybrid-Rubber-Heavy-Duty…

    Thanks.

EDIT - product info states - "2. Phone case should be take off for better charging. No Metal Ring/Plate/Credit Card"
though Google tells me that charging through a phone case is possible.

More expensive generic vs cheaper branded… that doesn't seem natural and within the OzBargain spirit.

Not to mention yesterday Shopback's 12% sliced a good portion off.

    • that one probably is not a 'fast charger'
I just bought the Choetech one.

  • Had a similar (cheaper) version of this and it would barely charge with a case on.
Do these work with a case?

    • +1

Works fine with a very thin silicone case on my iPhone X.

These upright chargers seem a tiny bit easier to sit the phone in the sweet spot, with the flat ones you have to get it JUST right to be certain its charging. With the upright ones, you just drop it on the charger and forget it.

BUT mine died after 12 months. I am replacing it with the same.

  • Calm down, I just bought the previous deal one.

  • Maybe I'm fussy but I don't consider 10W to be 'fast' charging. Even pre-QC charging was 2.4A @ 5W which is 12W.

So this is almost standard charging.

    • 2.4A @ 5V was still considered fast charging, and most of the time phones did not actually charge at this rate (due to either the cable not being good enough quality, the phone limiting current or simply not supporting >1A due to USB spec). I found that the majority of the time, phones only charged at 1A or 1.5A on 2.4A chargers. There is a reason Qualcomm's QC spec only uses 1.66A / 2A for its fast charge state.

So yes, 10W is relatively fast.

      • 2.4A @ 5V was still considered fast charging

"fast" but not "Fast" which became an actual technical term to refer to charging that's quicker than what you had before (i.e. no Fast charging standard). When Qi chargers adopted the Fast name, you'd assume they referred to the same definition but apparently it just means faster than the very slow standard of the first gen Qi chargers.

There is a reason Qualcomm's QC spec only uses 1.66A / 2A for its fast charge state.

It's not the amps that makes it fast, it's the watts. If the amps goes down, the voltage goes up. I think my 60W laptop charger is only using 1.67A.

10W is not fast by cable charging standards. Qi must have lower standards for what is considered 'fast'.

  • Mine stopped working after 1 and a half months, hoping they will replace it.

  • I got one of these, good wireless charger, going to buy this one again.

Clicking the link and it takes me to the 7.5W device not the 10W one. 7.5W charger is $33.99, 10W is $29.99. What would be reason for that?

    • The link is definitely the 10W one. What can happen is if the Amazon listing runs out of stock it can switch to a different listing. Rep advised me at the time 400pcs were instock though.

      • So the discount code is applying to the 7.5W listing @ $33, but when navigating to the 10w device the discount code isn’t being accepted…. want the 10w charger but worried if I order via link will get 7.5w device

        • The product listed in the deal is 10W. Is the coupon not applying to that?

          https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07D56VB7V

          • @Clear: When I click that link it takes me to the 7.5W charger mate…

‘Fast Wireless Charger,CHOETECH 7.5W Fast Wireless Charging Stand’

            • @MJD91:

              Fast Wireless Charger,CHOETECH 7.5W Fast Wireless Charging Stand Compatible with iPhone X/ XS/ XS Max/ XR, iPhone 8/ iPhone 8 Plus, 10W Fast Charger Samsung Galaxy S9/S9 Plus/S8/S8 Plus/ S7/S7 Edge/Note 8, and Other Qi-enable Devices

              It's the correct charger.

  • Champs, i need some help from you.

I bought one of this 1 hour ago and my friend wants me to order one more for her, i tried to apply the promo code but the price stayed $33.99 and showed me "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase". Any idea how can i have this one fixed?

    • Promo codes on Amazon can usually only be used once per account. Your friend should order it herself?

      • oh i see, Thanks a lot mate,

she doesn't have an account, i guess i will give mine to her and w8 for next code XD

  • OP, promo code no longer working?

my bad, working…found a similar charger in search (another model? square edges) and this is slightly different! thank you!

  • I just received mine … but no wall socket, just a USB cable.

How are you suppose to get 2amps from a computer USB port?

Kind of crappy, if you have to buy another 2amp wall plug. I can't use my phones wall plug with this.

    • Yeah it's unfortunate they don't come with QC2/3 chargers that'd do the required speed but they're always on sale
