Is there a way to change text emoticons eg;

:-) or ;-/

to display the picture version?

  That's great! I didn't know that existed before.
  
  I normally use emojipedia.org or getemoji.com, they still have more emojis that don't seem to be on the Windows applet.

Use http://getemoji.com/ the Emoji can be copied and pasted like text.

    Hahah not sure what warranted that reaction but I like seeing emoji being used.
    There's also the site Piliapp which might be easier to use.

I'd earlier found this page about formatting (look halfway down- smileys)

  If you have an up to date copy of Windows 10 you can bring up the on-screen emoji keyboard by pressing the Windows key and . (full stop) key.
