Just bought 11kg worth of Christmas Ham from Woolworths for $23. Average size each is 5.5kg with marked price around $22. The $10 off applies at checkout and adds to the end of the savings! Hence $12 each!!

Nope I mean the Christmas Ham that was on sale since December. Can be found somewhere near the deli usually.
Christmas will never end. Im Jealous of your freezer space. Ham sandwiches for everyone!
They last a while in the fridge - 2 to 3 months. I froze 1 and fridged the other. If you are alone then like every second day you have to have ham to keep up haha.
2 to 3 months in the fridge?? lol turn it up what do you drench your hambag in mentholated spirits 😝
Which store was this at?
Clarinda but it should be in all stores that still have stock - most of them I think.
Not sure about quality but I bought one a few weeks back and returned it because it was dry, spent a bit more and just got standard ham
You returned a ham?
Well it was $30. Woolworths guarantee if your not happy, money back. I even took pictures of how dry it was.
Cool, next time i'll try returning some of the prawns when they are not up to standard.
Mate, if you were a true OzBargainer you would have then gone out the back and fished your rejected ham out of the bin.
Christmas is not for 11 months i think this will go off before then.
Chinese New Year is coming so it's good to have a ham to celebrate ! Kinda Christmas in Asian style. Dip your $4 ham in sriracha sauce and drink Moutai.
I wish you were joking but as they say, "demographics is destiny".
Afterall, it's going to be the year of the pig!
Have you ever tried Moutai? It's honestly quite vile. But people pay $300 per bottle so good luck to them.
$300 is dropped price
$4 a kg for Christmas ham, ham-za23's gonna love thus deal!
All the hams were still nearly full price when i was in woolworths today
Just give it another week then :)
Where is this?
Got told recently it was only $10 off a ham and all were full price still.Clarinda, Vic. Just give it another week then :)
Nice. Probably the easiest woolies to get to from Clayton
Every Woolworths I've been to lately has run out of hams, probably 5/6 stores.
Mine has loads left
not sure they were quite this cheap but Ashwood WW had some at discounted prices a few days back in the far end of the juice/dairy aisle as you first come in.
Someone went ham on this deal, local Woolies didn't have any left.
just go where there is a large muslim community.
I found one woolies had a 5.4kg ham for $15
I would have bought it had I not bought a 9kg one for 40 bucks a week earlierUpvote for the first comment.
Double upvote for the second comment.
But unacceptable Ozbargaining after that :Pthe 9kg ham is actually my 2nd ham I've bought this year
@shole: Bah that's weak. I had 4 hams at Christmas time (one cold, one hot, one from work and one because it was cheap :D)
Would get a fifth without hesitation if available.Edit: just realised you've said this year. Good lord.
@pennypincher98: breakfast ham sandwiches 6 days a week =D
My favorite time of year…
In my house we are half way through a post Christmas ham, 5kg for $15.99 from the local IGA. This is a good price, will be at Woolworths tomozGod I hope the ham is not from Christmas.
It's smoked and well stored. These things last months.
It's been $10 off here since new years and they even had a week of $20 off and still have a full fridge of them.
These pre-christmas sales are getting earlier and earlier.
Last year I got 11kg leg ham for free. It was discounted to ~$19, and then I got $20 off at the checkout.
Boom, free! Best day of my life! :)Same here. My local Woolworths only had one left that was discounted with a clearance sticker to $8. Was free after $10 off was applied at checkout.
Uhhh not sure what kind of ham people are eating but you probably shouldn't eat it after about 7 days:
Pretty sure that the relevant one in that list is below, so eat until whatever it says on the use by date. Then within a few days of opening it.
Cooked Ham, vacuum sealed at plant, dated; unopened, “Use- by” date*
Yep seems that way - but aren't these giant hams that you slice pieces off? Who's eating 4kg of ham in a few days? Or is it pre-sliced vac-sealed packets?
Ham steaks, shred some and freeze for pizza, oysters Kilpatrick, eggs n ham for breakfast, ham and salad rolls, cheese n ham toasties, Hawaiian baked spuds with shredded.. HAM!
I regularly freeze ham and use it for pizza, omelettes, frittata, pasta sauces and zucchini slice.
Do you have to do anything to go the $10 off the ham? I can't see that discount advertised?
It's programmed into the checkout system. Not advertised.
where does the $10 off come into it? does it automagically happen at checkout?
cheers
my bad, cant read the post above obviously
What type of ham does it have to be or is it all brands?
I tried scanning one of the $40 leg of hams and there was no $10 off *sadface
It's the big Woolworths branded hams that should be in a refrigerated shelf. Half leg I think it was.
Thanks OP. We went to woolies in Balmain NSW, found the woolies branded goood old leg of ham and no further $10 off upon scanning at counter :/ oh wells thanks for the post anyhow!
Found a 70buck ham down to 28. No 10 bucks off though. So didnt get it. Maybe I'm too stingy yet lol
you mean turkey ?
