Looks like I'm Baggon me a bargain.

  • Weighted Base sold separately.

$70 for the base, or use concrete slabs as OP mentioned.

    • Serious question. Is there a place to get concrete slabs cheap. Need some for a punching bag I have!

      • bunnings maybe? out near the plants/pavers

  • Bunnings have similar for $58 I believe it was.

    • dont go there. the one i got lasted 2 days (barely a breeze). The main hinge that holds it together is hollow plastic and the heat cooked it and it just melted/snapped in a light gust of wind. POS.

PS. Looks exactly the same as the bunnings one.

  • If you can get rectangular, they are so much better, but impossible i would think at this deals price point.
Example, (i know different league price wise..)
    https://m.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/art/10387869/

    • big diff in price, why's the rectangular better?

      • Appreciate price difference, but that was just for example of a product.. anyway Provides better shade, easier to position for best shade, particularly with a rectangular table. We bought one for our parents and they had the round style before and the rectangle just works so much better, especially being cantilevered.

    • We've been looking for a rectangular one and noted they're more expensive than round ones. For us a rectangular ones just fits better against our entrance to the courtyard.

  • Adelaide is out of stock.

"never use it when it is windy"

We have a cantilevered umbrella. I would say that even the slightest wind causes it to sway massively. It was 1000x worse than I expected. We had to tie it down in a couple of spots as IMHO it would have broken from fatigue in no time if we didn't.

    • Cheers for this.

Might pass as I’m worried it’d get blown into the pool if not tied down

    • yeah I got a bunnings one. 40+ degrees and barely a breeze and she just snapped and nearly clocked the missus. Not worth my time.

    • In the market for one of these. This seems the best but no longer available. Anyone have another source:
