Great price!! I have had a Cygnett power bank for 2+ years now and it's still going, very impressed! Would definitely reccomend, especially at this price. I got mine for $80, for a 20,000 mAh one, and though that was a while ago, it's still working :)

Shipster has to be $25 and theres no C&C at any of the HN's close to me

err.. guess i’ll have to buy 5 of it then 😂

you gotta do what you gotta do!

  • Thanks OP! Can put off replacing batteries in the parents' phones for a bit longer…

    • Depending on the age of their phones and the age of themselves, it might make more sense to replace the phone batteries instead, as depending on the model, the battery can affect the performance of the phone as well. Plus, the power bank is another thing to fiddle with. Up to you, though! Just my opinion :)

      • Xperia Z2 and ZenFone 2. Both sealed and the Sony is a pain to open/reseal (plus the "genuine" eBay batteries are often very shoddy and I'd risk getting something worse than the current). Would be a no brainer if I could find new batteries directly from Sony/Asus or a reputable manufacturer, but don't think I'll have much luck anytime soon :(.

Ah, okay. Fair enough! Cygnett power banks are very good in my experience, so you should have have no problems :)

  • Thanks! Bought one just to get some extra time from my Bluetooth speaker while at work.

  • Cheap enough to leave at work, and if it gets scratched up, unlike my Xiaomi packs

  • Anyone have any experience with the Precision power bank also linked in OP? Never heard of the brand.

Ordered one, I'll let you know when I pick it up later today.

      • How’d you go with it?

        • The cable that comes with it is crap, my Galaxy S8 always warns me it's only slow charging when I use it, but the power bank itself is fine, just used a different cable. Handy one I can keep in my pocket to keep the phone topped up while I'm out.

  • Thanks OP👍 I grab one.

  • Suitable for iPhone users, Android these days have a battery with 3000mah capacity is quite usual.

  • How would this go recharging an iPhone 6S?

    • +1

One full charge and a bit

  • I cant seem to order. It seems like all out of stock?
Says pick up only but no pickup options.

    • Yes nil stock of any of these anywhere near me on Sydney Northern Beaches or much further afield.

  • 2500mAh is not much though

Thanks OP bought 2 for my Ute rear dash cam

  • Bought a couple last time. It charges… 25% of the phone… good enough

  • 1A output too slow i reckon

  • out of stock everywhere in QLD

  • +1

Bought these last time they were $5. They're good quality and actually output at 1A. Good enough to charge my phone with me while I'm out, long enough until I get back home.

  • +1

This does not have an option to add to keyring, etc so a bit useless in my opinion, may as well just carry around a xiaomi power bank.

  • It's a single 3.7V lithium cell. Expecting output of over 1A is unrealistic with something this small. They aren't made of magic.

(Thanks OP, may get one for the wife)

Can this be used for iPhone XS max?

    • +1

You can essentially use it for anything that charges / is powered by USB. However this unit only has a 1A output so may charge some devices slowly.

      • +1

        thanks @luke-2700k for the explanation.

  • How long to charge a phone with this? Manufacturers stop producing replacement battery phone is a pain.

    • Depends on the size of the battery in the phone. It only outputs 1A so may be slow with some devices.

  • I still haven't gotten mine from the last deal

2800mah powerbanks on sale at Coles for $7 at the moment too.

  • While I was able to order one inline and select C&C at HN Caringbah, I was informed that they had no stock and instead they offered me a “Precision” brand 5000mAh power bank with an LED torch built in at no extra cost.👍
