I don't think this is Australia's favourite. If you really want to target the AU market, try typing in our language: favourite not favorite.

Well said.. n tell him it's Straya mate..

    • Thanks for your input

CleanWeb is already trademarked. What funny business are you running?

  • +1

    Never even heard of them

Yes, we are pretty new, started in April and won best newcomer award https://www.bestvpn.com/review/surfshark/

      • +1

I don’t trust that ‘award,’ or your claim on ‘favourite.’ Sorry. 😐

        • +1

I think all VPN review websites are paid for “reviews”.

        • +1

We totally understand your concern, because we're new, but we work really hard to be top notch VPN provider.
Our service was reviewed by many authoritative sites like VPNMentor or Techradar. Also we're one of a few audited VPNs for no logs claims. The audit was cared out by Cure53 testers.

        • bestvpn.com is your typical chase the paid commission for fake reviews.

Example: it gets paid 40% commission by nordvpn for a successful sign-up.

  • Rep, do you guarantee ongoing, 100% uninterrupted US Netflix access?
From what I understand, this is currently near on impossible via standard VPNs since Netflix’s crackdown.

    • Yes, we guarantee. We're only of a few VPNs still working. Also, we have 30-days money back guarantee, so if you won't be satisfied, get your money back, no questions asked.

      • Any estimation of the kind of speeds that can be expected with the IPs that provide US Netflix access? And if Netflix block the IPs at any stage, money back is assured?

        • Speed depends on many factors and you could feel a drop of around 20% due to encryption, but should be able to watch Ultra HD without any issues. All our apps built on IKEv2.
Regarding 30 days money back guarantee - yes it is assured.

          • +1

@Surfshark: So to confirm, if I pay for the 2 year plan, and in 2 months Netflix block all your IPs, I will not get my money back (or at minimum 11/12's of it?)
I believe that Netflix actively pursue VPNs that try to beat their system, and that it may be only a matter of time before Surfshark enter their radar and they do the same.
For piece of mind, can you detail how you are able to continue working access to Netflix US, but all the other VPNs (ie PIA and Nord etc), cannot?

            • @Tuttle: 2 months is more than 30days…

              • @bobzor: Well derr. But when asked: 'Rep, do you guarantee ongoing, 100% uninterrupted US Netflix access?' - the response: "Yes, we guarantee." suggests that if this were to change they would refund you (what else is a guarantee worth otherwise?)

Clicking through your website says 'Australia's #1 VPN', from what authority?

A quick search 'Australia's #1 VPN' gives different results from panels of experts.

Visiting the website for the first time automatically applies the code 'xmasholiday' giving the same discount.

The black friday code 'blackshark' still works, these codes are just advertising and nothing special or specific, just a different name to make it more appealing or make people think it's a deal when it's not. Saying you have a sale for australia day isn't true.

    • Maybe… they could be like me and just too lazy to cancel codes for sales. I've accidentally done it a few times now for my company.

  • +1

IVACY offering 2 year plan with cheaper price without discount. I don't think @surfshark that this is your best offer for Australia day :(

  • Is a 2 year plan usually $388? (According to the maths if this is 83% off)
Just read that this is when compared to month to month service

Edit edit: isn’t it by default $66 AUD, without any code? (No matter which currency I look to pay in, it always equates to pretty much $66aud)

    • Without code its 123$ (10% VAT).
But i didn't liked the discount, there are other better vpn providers giving better prices for 2 year plan without discount code.

      • Yeah, via that link. But if you just manually go to Surfshark.com, you will see it’s the default price, no matter which currency you choose, and you never have to enter a code word. A little deceptive imo?

  • Are your servers torrent friendly or they are more for streaming?

  • +3

You may be legit and run a fantastic service, but we wont be falling for claims like #1 or favourite with such a short business life

  • is it good for streaming??

  • I don't trust this too. What are some cheap alternatives?

  • NordVPN ftw

    • had issues with NordVPN on shield tv.. both US/Japanese netflix..

Will give these guys a trial n see how it goes..

  • +5

Why do people get so precious about marketing language or spelling and turn into kboard warriors. I know the answer but won't get into it. They're offering 1mth money back so really a moot point. Try it out and cancel if not happy. Also noone can guarantee anything about Nflix in the long run so a stupid question

    • +1

Easy there lad… You're skating dangerously close to common sense there… It's really not cared for much here…

  • Based at British Virgin Islands, same as ExpressVPN. At the moment they do not have data retention laws.

Reviews look pretty good but this is a standard deal.

  • Can't find a list of all the countries they have servers. Anyone have this?

    • I can't get the free trial to activate, it keeps the charges when it goes to checkout at PayPal… maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Joined tonight with my primary purpose being to watch US netflix on my Android TV. That didnt work - tried a whole bunch of US servers to no avail. Works fine on my PC browser on those same servers.

Surprisingly their chat support was pretty good. The guy got me to try a whole bunch of stuff which didnt work, then promptly refunded me as soon as i said thanks but no thanks. Account got deactivated immediately and my refund will come in 7-10 days supposedly.

Decent company to deal with in my short experience.
