160cm Electric Height-Adjustable Standing Desk $319.20 Delivered (Selected Metro Areas) @ Mytopia eBay

POOLTIME

I've considered getting a sit/stand desk a few times, but they've always been too expensive for me to bite the bullet. I found this one at $320 decided to take a punt. The 120kg max load is much better than the 80kg max you often see on budget models.

I've been using it for about a week and I like it.

  • Might be worth noting. Delivery to 7000 TAS is $118.29

  • I've got this one. It is good. Noisy when going up and down but its not like you do that often.

    • How do you find the "ergonomic curve"? Does it bother you? There are a few around the $400 mark at Officeworks but this looks to be a bit better with dual-motors and easier control panel.

I dont mind the "ergonomic curve" but it is indeed noisy.

Now that I've got it, I'd prefer not to have the ergonomic curve. It's a minor annoyance, I don't feel like it does anything but lose a little bit of desk space. Maybe if you had really short arms or a fat belly?

They sell a version without it, but it doesn't bother me enough that I'd pay extra to not have it.

Oh woops, I don't have the ergonomic curve haha, just the straight one…The control panel is fine, 3 presets gives me 3 options - sitting, high stool seat, standing.

  • Is it steady? Does it wobble?

    • Steady as i t is pretty heavy

    • No wobble for me. The legs and top are very solid

  • Not free delivery, which puts it back to $400 mark.

    • That's actually still a good price. I've got something similar at my workplace and it's awesome, but purchased through a local office furniture supplier and it was ~$1200! I love mine, if I ever left my employer I'd really miss it.

Must be a restricted list of places with free delivery. I'm in Brisbane and delivery was free.

      • Yes, free delivery to only Sydney and Brisbane. Melbourne and Adelaide around $11.00. Other capital cities are over $100.00

    • Express delivery $2,940😱
Or free 1 day later for me.

  • Can highly recommend the Varidesk for anyone willing to fork out a bit more

  • I recently bought one of the 150cm ones without the "ergonomic" curve.

    Fantastic!

I was sceptical of what the quality would be like but I can't fault it.
