Wondering if any of you fine folk will be at the board game/rpg convention happening over the long weekend in Canberra?
Heard there can be pretty good bargains for board games, so I'm excited for some good prices.

It's my first time, so quite excited to see what it's all about. Sadly will only be able to come the Saturday so might not have much time to commit to the games library.
Do you reckon going to the 2nd hand store is worth it for the entry price?
If you are just going to see vendors and not enrolled in competitions it is free entry, I think there is a $20 charge for early bird entry to the second hand stall but otherwise that is free too (but with timed entry). It sounds like when you arrive at the con you get a colour coded ticket designating your allocated entry time to the stall; the earlier you get to the con the earlier your entry to the stall. Not entirely convinient especially if you just coming for a quick visit, but better than the giant queues and horrible squish.

Me, too. I have no high hopes for the AC, though :(. Also the parking won't be fun now the external overflow carparking is gone (due to tram).

Haha kind of in the same boat. Heard about it in a ozbargain deal in the past, and since I live nearby thought I might as well give it a shot.

I am! This will be my third time - super excited.
Good games last year had a massive clearance, especially for dinted games.
It will be pretty damn hot, so let's hope the AC holds up against all the tabletop gamers :P
