Thanks for the valuable comment. This gives me an idea of preparing a tablet in the TV room dedicated for usage with the TV. Thinking of getting this TV soon.
No problems. I think I paid around $2200 mid December delivered, so that is a great price.
How do you find sports on it shaneb? I contacted Samsung and this is the model that supersedes my 5 year old 1080p Samsung which I absolutely cannot fault for sports/fast motion or fps gaming for that matter, so interested to hear from someone with it. Also do you find it upscales alright while watching normal HD? Thanks.
@RickoWest: I don't watch a great deal of sports to be honest. Cricket on 7HD looks good. I did notice in the first couple of test that I saw a few instances where there were ghosts of balls, but even when they freeze framed, the ghosts were there, so I think it may have been the source. The tennis on 9HD for the little bits I've seen has been fine, but on Gem has been horrible. I went in expecting that SD stuff might look like the pixels were the size of dinner plates on the bigger screen, but the up-scaling is quite good. Neflix (Planet Earth 2 looks amazing) and 4k Blu-rays are great, although I'd have to say the difference between 4k blu-rays is not as noticeable between blu-rays as blu-rays vs DVD. I don't game, so can't help you there.
@RickoWest: From rtings website (https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/nu8000), the NU8000 seems to be good for gaming due to the low input lag. Check out the full review. Hope that helps.
I have one and love it. The only thing I don't really like is the remote. It doesn't have numbers on it. You either have to use voice control, enter numbers through an on screen keypad or up/down. You can control it via app on your phone via Bluetooth though, but I don't find it as convenient.
